About This Pub

Oh, you know, when I think about The Castle Inn, it just brings a smile – it's one of those pubs that feels like a proper local gem in Ealing, where you can settle in for a pint and some top-notch grub. The Sunday carvery is the real star of the show; I've heard from loads of people that it's hands down the best around, with juicy meats, perfectly roasted veg, and those generous portions that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank. The staff are an absolute delight, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly, which really lifts the whole experience. Plus, with live music buzzing in the background and a big screen for the rugby or footie, it's brilliant for groups or even a solo visit in their cosy bar or secret garden. It's dog-friendly too, so you can bring the pup along, and the accessibility features make it welcoming for all. On the flip side, there was that one tale about an bloke wandering in with an offensive T-shirt, which might spoil the mood if you're after a completely family-friendly outing – it's not the norm, but it's worth noting. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed afternoon or evening, and I'd say give it a go if you're in the area; just keep an eye on those opening times to avoid any surprises.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The Sunday carvery is absolutely brilliant – generous portions, delicious roasts, and standout sides like those crispy potatoes and cauliflower cheese that keep folks coming back.
  • Staff are so welcoming and friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in, which really adds to the cosy vibe.
  • It's got a lively atmosphere with live music, big screen sports, and a historic feel, perfect for a good night out or catching up with mates.
  • Dog-friendly and family-oriented, with features like outside seating, a secret garden, and step-free access, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
  • A well-stocked bar with a great selection of beers, from craft options to classics, and it's easy to pop in for a quick bite or a full meal of pub favourites.
Cons
  • There have been occasional awkward moments, like someone turning up in an offensive T-shirt, which could put a dampener on the otherwise relaxed setting.
  • The operating hours seem a bit inconsistent from what's listed, so it might be worth double-checking before heading out, especially on Sundays.

What a great bar, the best in the Ealing Broadway/South Ealing area in my opinion. The Sunday carvery is amazing... delicious food and plenty of it! Great for watching rugby too. I would highly recommend. Thanks!

Great place to get a decent poured beer and a meal. Burgers have fantastic meat in them, well recommended. Try the sweet potatoe fries. Well trained and informative bar staff that make you feel welcome. Pity about the guy in the T Shirt with F..k Boris on it - fully spelt out. Obviously got it wrong - should have been Cameron who is making Mega bucks money out of this book right now! Hope guy is not studying politics. If you are a student maybe widen your vocabulary a bit and drop the expletives - you could get a punch in the face from someone offended in the street.
