About This Pub
Ah, The Rose & Crown – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in High Wycombe. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's all about that warm, welcoming energy; the staff are absolute stars, always up for a chat, and the landlady sounds like a real delight. The real ales are spot on, with a great variety that's kept fresh and tasty, and at prices that won't break the bank, it's ideal for a relaxed evening with mates. They've got live music rolling in on the third Sunday each month, plus sports on the screens, which adds to the buzz without overwhelming the space. On the flip side, it's a bit dated in places – some have mentioned it could use a tidy-up to freshen things up – and while the bar snacks hit the spot, there's no full menu if you're after a hearty meal. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone wanting a genuine pub experience; the high ratings speak for themselves, and I'd say it's worth a visit for the friendly feel alone, just keep in mind it might not be the flashiest spot on the high street.

Cons
-
The place has seen better days and could do with a bit of a spruce-up – a fresh coat of paint might work wonders.

They don't serve full meals, just bar snacks, so if you're after a proper sit-down dinner, you might need to head elsewhere.

Popped in for a pint after a show at the Swan Theatre last week. A smashing little pub, very friendly and a nice few real ales to chose from, all brilliantly kept. Excellent pub! Chatted with the landlady (who is lovely!) and that was Squires Holt you were remembering by the way, an old restaurant on the Hogs Back back in the day! Small world!
Such a great wee pub, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and the best pint of Guinness! We will be back!
Had a few pints, the prices were lower than a London pub. The place seen better days... Could benefit from a bucket of paint
Best pub in bucks without question. Bar staff are awesome, the owner Kirsten is a diamond, beer always fresh and tasty, plus decent prices.they don't serve food but there array of bar snacks are on point. Big up the 🌹and👑
The Rose & Crown - Good old British summer time – you couldn’t make it up. Imagine it’s the first weekend in August, the crowning day of the new football season. Surely, we will be blessed with some good weather, right? NAH - The rain was absolutely slamming it down.
With that barmy weather, we had to hot-step it to the pub, and the pub in question was the Rose and Crown. Thankfully, it was a cracking pub that is serious about cask ale, as evident by all the pump clips of previous beers that have been flowing through their pipes.
After two delicious pints, we had to make tracks for Adams Park to make kick-off, but trust me, next time I’m in Wycombe, I will be heading back to the Rose and Crown.
