About This Pub
You know, when I think about Butlers in High Wycombe, it really strikes me as one of those pubs that pulls you in for a quick drink and keeps you there for the craic. The staff are absolute gems – I've heard tales of Anne-Marie and Jamie stepping up in tricky situations, making sure folks are looked after, which just adds to that homely touch. The beer garden's a proper winner too, with heaters and screens to make the most of those rare sunny days or even chillier evenings. And let's not forget the lineup of events; whether it's a quiz night or karaoke, there's always something on to get the group laughing and chatting away. On the flip side, though, it's not all smooth sailing – there've been a few stories of things getting a bit uncomfortable with some crowds, so it's worth keeping that in mind if you're after a more laid-back evening. Still, with its affordable drinks and that genuine community spirit, I'd say it's well worth a visit for a proper pub experience, as long as you go in with your eyes open.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, like Anne-Marie and Jamie who always go the extra mile to make sure everyone has a good time.
-
It's got a fantastic beer garden with heaters, a covered area, and TV screens, making it a brilliant spot for enjoying drinks outdoors when the weather plays along.
-
There's a lively atmosphere with plenty of events like quizzes, bingo, and karaoke, which keep things fun and engaging for a night out.
-
The cocktails and drinks are top-notch, and with its inexpensive prices, it's easy on the wallet for a casual get-together.
-
Overall, it's a warm and inviting place where you can catch up with mates and enjoy the familiar faces that make it feel like a local haunt.
Cons
-
There have been some uncomfortable experiences reported, such as harassment from certain groups, which can put a damper on the evening.
-
It might get a bit rowdy at times, especially with events on, so it doesn't always suit those after a quiet, relaxed vibe.
-
The operating hours can be a tad confusing with varying times, which might mean missing out if you're not checking in advance.

Manager is very lovely.
Great pub, always have a good time when here. Cocktails are great.
I've been coming to Butlers for years now and always have a great time!
After a recent event, I can't express how much I appreciate Anne-Marie and Jamie for helping us in a less than ideal situation, giving us all the help and support we needed to care for a friend.
Thank you again lovelies, I'll be seeing you again soon!!
Always able to have a laugh with the amazing staff like Anne-Marie & Jamie! With drinks deals and activites planned for almost every night, Butlers is definitely the place to be!!
Worst place I’ve ever been. Never felt so uncomfortable in a place. Was harassed by the rugby lot especially the Tongan guy never will be back
Butlers, what can I say. This magical place is filled with a collection of good staff, good atmosphere, and a great quiz on a Tuesday alongside bingo and karaoke.
Drinks and food are a bonus. It is an essential Wycombe experience to go to butlers.
