About This Pub
Oh, you know, I had a great time popping into The Robin Hood Inn the other day, and it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem. The beers are spot on – they've got this wonderful selection of cask ales and unique brews that you don't see everywhere, and it's all served up with real care. The staff are an absolute delight, always chatting away and making sure everyone feels welcome, which really sets the tone for a relaxed evening. Pair that with some hearty cobs and snacks that hit the spot without breaking the bank, and you've got yourself a winner. On the flip side, I did notice a few bottled beers that looked a bit out of date, which is a shame if you're eyeing something special, and there might be times when it's a bit crowded or they have to enforce spacing, taking away from that intimate feel. All in all, it's a solid choice for a pint with mates, especially if you're up for exploring the local scene – I'd say give it a go if you're nearby, as it's got that timeless pub charm that's hard to beat.

-
Outdoor seating is a nice touch for when the weather's on your side, letting you enjoy a drink al fresco.
Cons
-
Some of the bottled beers on display might be past their best, which is a bit disappointing if you're after something specific.
-
There could be occasional restrictions or queues, like being asked to keep your distance, which might feel a tad off in a cosy spot like this.
-
It seems the place isn't as actively managed online, so you might not find the latest updates easily if things change.

Friendly staff and customers, we were made very welcome, a good choice of local real ales. A good place to start a "Amblecote triangle" pub crawl.
Met up with friends on Saturday night
First time in the place for over 40 years
What an absolute gem of a place Arrived at 7 absolutely rammed Got a seat after about 10 minutes so no problem.Beer was exceptional & atmosphere brilliant Didn’t feel like a tourist!!!!
The most traditional of the 4 listed 2025 Good Beer Guide pubs on the Amblegate triangle. A true local with an abundance of cask ales on sale all reasonably priced. Marvel at all the bottled beers displayed on the delft rails around the front rooms - all sadly now well out of date.
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Robin Hood Inn, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way! This delightful pub offers a remarkable selection of well-kept cask beers, catering perfectly to beer aficionados (like myself!. Each pint was expertly poured, showcasing the establishment's dedication to quality and flavor.
However, the true charm of the Robin Hood Inn lies in its inviting atmosphere. As soon as I stepped through the door, I was enveloped in a cozy ambiance that added to the pub's character. It was the ideal setting for a leisurely afternoon with family.
What truly stood out, though, was the warm hospitality extended by the bar staff and the friendly locals. Whether I was seeking recommendations on their beer selection or engaging in conversation with fellow patrons, I felt like a valued member of the community. The genuine camaraderie made my visit to the Robin Hood Inn an experience to remember.
In summary, if you're searching for a pub with excellent beer, a cozy environment, and welcoming company, look no further than the Robin Hood Inn. I eagerly anticipate my next visit to bask in the convivial atmosphere once more!
Not many places you can get Enville Ginger....but yes absolutely beautiful pint👌. Lovely staff and very welcoming atmosphere....they don't make them like this anymore.
