About This Pub
Ah, The Red Lion – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper gem once you step inside. I've got to say, the range of real and craft ales is spot on, and paired with that quirky interior, it really sets the scene for a memorable night. The food's another highlight; think homemade chips that are an absolute winner, along with a menu that's always got fresh specials and options for vegetarians and vegans. It's dead dog-friendly too, which is brilliant if you're out with your four-legged companion. And don't miss the outdoor area – it's beautifully decked out with heaters and blankets, making it cosy even on a breezy evening. They've got loads of events on, like BBQs and quizzes, which keep things exciting and give you a reason to pop back regularly. The staff are just lovely, always up for a chat and making sure everything's just right. On the flip side, the opening times can be a tad confusing, so you might want to check ahead to avoid any disappointment. Plus, it does get packed on busier nights, and while the food's generally a hit, it might not wow every taste bud out there. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for a friendly spot to unwind, with plenty of heart and a few quirks that make it stand out in the best way.

What a lovely pub
Outdoor seating area is very cosy and beautifully decorated
Didn't get to try food, as we got in a little late, but the bar staff and manager were friendly and welcoming.
Also nice to see a clean bathroom with free feminine products. Well done to whoever put that forward.
Overall a lovely first time at the Red Lion.
I noticed that there is a quiz on a Tuesday too, this might be my new local 😀
The Red lion is a well run pub with a welcoming atmosphere. The food is great for a pub meal and very well priced. However what sets this pub apart is the interactive aspects, a purchase spin wheel, themed nights just to name a few. If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend a trip.
Great pub with decent food.
Personally i think the food is alright, however all my friends and family really like it and compliment it loads.
Its usually busy on the night and we end up outside as we come in a large group which we really like as they have a great outside area with plenty of cover and heaters.
They also have a great selection of ale on and there's usually one i like. However I do always hope HPA is back as its my favourite.
Well worth a visit even if its just for 1.
Took my wife and daughters and 4 grandson today for lunch .
Great food and value . The chap behind the bar made us feel very very welcome. Will be returning again very soon .

Wonderful, friendly, welcoming, inclusive pub. The menu is often updated with lots of specials and staff ensure that every request is noted and actioned. The chefs often make an appearance to check that everything is up to standard.
A meticulous approach by thoughtful and caring managers make a real difference on a daily basis .
Special events keep things lively and there is a positive community vibe present. Nothing is too much trouble for Manager Nico and we
always have a wonderful time in The Red Lion.
Thank you x
