About This Pub
Oh, the Red Lion – it's one of those proper local pubs that just draws you in with its cosy vibe and welcoming feel. From the get-go, the staff are dead lovely, always greeting you with a smile and making sure you're settled in nicely, which really sets the tone for a great visit. The atmosphere is spot on too; whether it's catching the football on the big screen or enjoying some live music, there's always a buzz that keeps things entertaining without being overwhelming. And the food? Well, I've heard from mates that the burgers and toasties are absolute winners, served up with fresh sides and at prices that won't dent your wallet – it's all about that good value without skimping on taste. Plus, if you're out with the family, the outdoor play area and that quirky double decker bus for events make it a real gem for all ages. On the flip side, it's a shame about that one dodgy breakfast someone mentioned, all greasy and not quite worth the coin, and occasionally the team behind the bar could be a bit more sociable to elevate the experience. All in all, it's a solid spot for a pint, a bite, and some laughs, and I'd say it's well worth checking out if you're in the area – just keep those expectations balanced for the best time.

Lovely lady behind the bar
Popped in for a spot of lunch with the wife. Lovely and warm and a lovely greeting from the landlord. Had burger and chips and the wife a ham and cheese toastie. Burger was gorgeous. The wife's toastie had crisps and salad and was fantastic.. very reasonable prices, and a great meal. Highly recommend, and can't wait till we pass again
Great outdoor play area for children. Also has the double decker bus available for parties.
Drinks reasonable, staff could be a bit more social 🤔
Large outdoor TV under cover for sport lovers.
Would go back.
Underrated house. You always feel welcomed on arrival, good selection of drinks and helpful and friendly staff. Large garden with children's play area and a double decker bus (because why not). Pool table and Jukebox. Last of a dying breed of old fashioned boozers. Would recommend again and again.
Cosy village pub that serves a good Guinness, it has a really nice atmosphere and a nice beer garden for families out the back in the summer months. Adequate free car parking at the Rear for patrons as well as out front. I would heartedly recommend this establishment.
