About This Pub
Ah, The Queens Head – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in the heart of London, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this warm, inviting atmosphere that's perfect for kicking back with a mate over a pint. The beer selection is top drawer; they've got an excellent variety of real ales, ciders, and more, which really hits the spot if you're into your brews. And the staff? They're an absolute delight, always quick with a smile and ready to lend a hand, making sure everyone has a good time. It's clear from the high ratings that folks love the traditional feel and how welcoming it is. On the flip side, it can get a tad overcrowded at times, especially during the week, so you might find yourself squeezing in or waiting for a table. Plus, if you're hoping for a full meal, the food's mostly limited to simple snacks, which isn't ideal for a hearty dinner. There were a couple of mentions about the lighting being a bit dim, which could be a hassle for some, but it's heartening to hear how the team steps up to assist. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening out, as long as you go in with realistic expectations – the good far outweighs the minor niggles, and I'd say it's well worth a visit for anyone looking for that authentic pub experience in London.

-
The location in London is spot on, making it easy to pop in for a pint, and it's buzzing even on quieter nights, which speaks to its popularity.
Cons
-
It can get pretty packed, especially midweek, so you might end up jostling for space or waiting a bit for a seat.
-
Food options are a bit limited, mostly just snacks like pork pies, so if you're after a proper meal, you might need to look elsewhere.
-
Some folks have mentioned issues with the lighting, which could make it tricky for those who need a bit more brightness, though the team does their best to help.
-
Certain events, like open mic nights, might not always be on offer, which could disappoint if that's what you're after.

Busy. Hopping pub in Soho. We went there for the open mic night but we were sadly disappointed because it was no longer available - darn that old internet! Yeah still there’s a good selection of beers and ales here and the location is pretty good. Maybe too good since it was midweek and the place was pretty busy. I think my favorite thing was the beer list.
I had the pleasure of visiting this hidden jewel recently.
Being a visually impaired person I did struggle with the lighting in the pub but I have to say the customers and bar staff were absolutely amazing. Making sure I had a seat and ensuring I had no issues whilst in the pub.
The Bar staff very good knowledge of beer and even checking when I changed from his suggestion to an alternative was a custom many pubs could learn from.
As an infrequent visitor to London I am unsure if I will be in a position to call in the pub again but anyone reading this if your in the proximity of this pub give it a try you won't be disappointed.
Nice pub with good staff. Nice beers. Did not at here. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a conversation. Would happily visit again. They served quickly and with a smile. Overall a nice pub essentially on a roundabout.

This is a traditional style pub. It only has a very limited selection of snack foods such as pork pies but has an excellent selection of beers and ciders. With a focus on real ale, Porter, Stout and proper cider plus a decent choice of lager style drops. Busy even on an early week night but not stupidly so. A great place to stop and chat over a good pint.
A nice pub to sit down and relax after a walk in town. The bartender was very polite and informative. They have many different beers that is worth trying out. I had the meat board and it was very good. But the bread was really really good. I would happely return 😁
