Delicious food, piping hot, small menu but something for everyone, definitely cooked from scratch! Beautifully decorated, quiet, peaceful pub! Very dog friendly! Will definitely come again.

Food is good but service could be better. Second or third time I ask for a sauce for my meal or an extra napkins and get told “sure will be right up”and then nothing happens… It’s a shame because the food is quite decent but overall it just doesn’t make you feel that welcome snd instead of enjoying a good meal you keep waiting for that one extra that would make it feel perfect to arrive but it never does. Effectively I will just stop coming . It’s a minor detail but it’s also an annoying minor detail that it is so easy to get right…. And overall I just end up spending less money than originally intended and leaving early…. Get the service right.

Lovely atmosphere and incredibly dog-friendly. Service was quite slow, so don't go there when you are in a rush, but the staff were so friendly, and the sticky toffee pudding was absolutely the best I've ever tasted. They have their own space in front of the pub to park but it fills up quickly"

Food was really delicious and interesting, the only thing that would be good to see would be some more lunch suitable options rather than a big meal. But what we had was great. Pub is a bit quiet at lunch so atmosphere a bit strange, but hoping this review will encourage some more patrons!

This pub has underground a huge renovation in recent years, functions under new management and provides a beautiful setting for a traditional oxford pub located in Iffley village. The menu, food quality and choice deserves a chefs kiss! We particularly enjoyed the Sunday roast with all the trimmings, which was evidently cooked with fresh ingredients, care and love. There is adequate on site parking, a beautiful courtyard area to the rear of the property that's joined by the additional outdoor sheltered area leading to front garden. We were treated to service by Sage and Maggie who were so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much bother and they aimed to please with an outstanding level of professionalism! We look forward to visiting again soon 😀
