About This Pub
Ah, The Park Hotel – it's one of those pubs that really knows how to bring people together, isn't it? Tucked away in Lancaster, it's super convenient for students and locals alike, being right near the University of Cumbria and just a stone's throw from the city centre. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are an absolute delight, always going the extra mile like that landlady Angie who sorted out a wedding reception flawlessly. The atmosphere is spot on for a good laugh, with live music, quizzes, and sports screenings that keep things lively without being overwhelming. Pair that with their tasty stonebaked pizzas and cracking deals on drinks, and you've got yourself a proper pub experience. But, let's be fair, it's not all roses – there have been a couple of gripes about service slipping up, like getting ignored if you're not a regular, which could put a dampener on things. Overall, though, with a solid 4.4 rating from heaps of happy visitors, I'd say it's worth popping in for a pint and seeing what all the fuss is about; just keep your expectations in check for those busier nights.

-
Service can be hit or miss at times, with a few folks mentioning they've been overlooked in favour of regulars, which isn't ideal if you're new.
-
Based on recent feedback, there might be the odd off day, like that one review where they felt ignored, so it's worth keeping in mind for a smooth visit.

Ignored by barstaff, multiple times, serving "regulars" who arrived after us, before us. 2 stars simply as we liked the look of the pub and facilities
Weekly dance classes started and this venue is EXCELLENT! Staff are friendly helpful and efficient and the place always has a brilliant vibe
Awesome family orientated and family run venue with friendly happy staff and vibe.
Always something different for all ages and locals that make others part of the family atmosphere.
Great prices and deals always available on drinks and food.
We booked the function room for our wedding reception. Cannot fault it. The room was beautifully decorated and the staff were lovely. Angie was fantastic, really went the extra mile for us, and the buffet was enjoyed by all. Thank you for helping make our wedding day special!
Celebrated my 50th birthday here with over 80 guests in the upstairs function room- a fantastic venue and great staff. Angie the landlady is the real gem- going that extra mile to ensure the whole process from decorating the room to sorting the buffet was smooth and easy. Friendly, helpful, real value for money, we couldn’t recommend more highly! Thanks everyone!
