About This Pub
Ah, the White Cross – it's one of those hidden gems in Lancaster that I've heard such positive chatter about from folks who've popped in. From what I can gather, the staff go above and beyond to make sure you're looked after, with their friendly chats and helpful recommendations really adding to the experience. The food's a real highlight too; it's not an enormous menu, but what's on offer is delicious and great value, perfect for a casual catch-up or even a special celebration like an anniversary. I love that they've got those little extras going on, like the Tuesday quiz nights or Fizz Friday deals, and the Sunday roast sounds like it could be a weekly winner. On the flip side, it does feel a tad quiet in terms of recent feedback, so it might not be the liveliest spot if you're after a buzzing crowd. Plus, with the online presence not being fully sorted, you might have to do a bit of digging to get the latest scoop. All in all, if you're in the area and fancy a relaxed pint or a hearty meal in a light, airy setting, I'd say give it a go – it's got that charm that'll leave you with a smile, but just keep in mind it could use a bit more buzz to really shine.
