About This Pub
You know, when I think about Accidental Brewery and Micropub, it's one of those places that just warms you up straight away. Tucked away in Lancaster, it's got this brilliant range of craft beers that really hit the spot, especially if you're into local brews – I've heard folks rave about the ones from Marble and Clearwater. The staff are an absolute delight, always up for a natter and sharing tips on what to try next, which makes the whole experience feel personal and fun. Plus, it's got that cosy, relaxed vibe that's perfect for a quiet evening or even something bigger like a wedding reception, and it's surprisingly family-oriented, which is a nice bonus if you're out with little ones. On the downside, though, the prices do add up a bit, so it might not be the go-to for a budget night out, and there have been times when the beer choices were a tad limited, like no cask ales in sight, which could leave you wanting more. Still, with such glowing feedback from so many, it's clear this place knows how to deliver a memorable time – I'd say it's well worth popping in if you're in the area, just keep an eye on those opening times to make sure you're not caught out.

Cons
-

-
Being upstairs might not suit everyone, especially if stairs are a hassle or you're after something more accessible.

Great little micro pub with cracking beers. Staff are really friendly and happy to share info and knowledge about the beers. I didn't eat there but the food looked and smelt amazing. Really lovely atmosphere and it was kid friendly too.
Paul and Sarah hosted our wedding reception at Accidental last weekend and we couldn't be happier with the service. We met a few times to discuss plans beforehand and Paul was so accommodating and helpful. The evening passed without a hitch and the atmosphere was incredible. Thanks so much to Paul, Sarah and the team you were all amazing.
One of my favourite places to drink in Lancaster, especially when I want a relaxed and cosy type of night.
There's always an interesting selection of craft beers available, including from their own and local breweries.
Really cosy decor/style and friendly owners/staff too.
A hidden gem in Lancaster which is very much worth seeking out if you haven't been!
Friendly little upstairs bar near the cathedral. It has recently changed hands, so the current team are new to the location (October 2024). Unfortunately no cask ales on, but there were 10 or so craft beers from local breweries like Marble, Clearwater and Sureshot. Prices were high. I expect it to have improved on my next visit.
21/09/24: quite disappointed. 4 craft beers on tap on a Saturday night. 2 the same Brewery that people kept getting mistaken for. We had the Dark Revelation Brewery: Velvatine, but wanted the Orbital and a Polly's Brew pale ale.
