About This Pub
Ah, The Parcel Yard – it's one of those pubs that really captures the heart of London, tucked away in the bustling King's Cross Station. I have to say, it's got this warm, inviting vibe with its beautiful old building and all the quirky railway bits and bobs that make you feel right at home. The food's generally a treat, with seasonal options that hit the spot for brunch, lunch, or dinner, and the drinks selection is spot on for sinking a good pint while catching some live sport. The staff can be absolute gems, going out of their way to make your day, but let's be honest, it's not perfect – there've been reports of mice scurrying about, which is a real shame and might make you think twice. Prices are a bit steep too, as they often are in the city, and service isn't always top-notch, with some bar folk seeming a tad distant. Still, for anyone looking for a versatile spot to meet friends, grab a bite, or even host a small do, it's worth a visit if you're in the area – just keep those pros and cons in mind for a balanced experience!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely spot on, with its historic Grade I listed building full of original features and railway paraphernalia that makes you feel like you're stepping back in time.
-
The food and drinks are a real highlight – think seasonal menus for brunch, lunch, and dinner, plus cracking pints of Fullers, Guinness, or even a superb Cider Ale to enjoy while watching live sport.
-
Staff can be wonderfully attentive and friendly, like Sarah and Khushi who went the extra mile to make visitors feel welcome and even explained menu items with a personal touch.
-
It's got loads of different seating areas, so you can find your perfect spot whether you're after a cosy corner or a lively vibe, and it's super convenient right in King's Cross Station.
-
A great spot for all sorts of occasions, from casual meet-ups to celebrations, with options for private hire and events that add to its versatility.
Cons
-
There have been some concerns about cleanliness, with one person spotting mice, which is a bit off-putting and could put a damper on your visit.
-
Prices are on the higher side, as you'd expect in London, so it might feel a tad pricey for what you get, especially if you're just popping in for a quick drink or meal.
-
Not all the staff are consistently engaging; some bar team members came across as a bit stand-offish, which might leave you waiting a smidge longer than you'd like.
-
The food isn't always a winner – one chap found it just so-so, so it might not blow your socks off every time.

Sarah and Khushi went out of their way to look after us in this hidden gem of a pub. Khushi also explained what my Snitzel would be like and I’m glad she did.
I liked the atmosphere. The food was soso, and the price was passable. I just have a bit of concern with the sanitary level as I ended up seeing a lot of mice running around.
Great pub - find your vibe in one of the many different seating areas. Railway paraphernalia abounds and they really set the scene for a decent pint of Fullers. I didn't eat there so can't comment on food. Some staff were attentive, providing table service. Bar staff were a bit stand-offish and preferred to chat with an ex-employee bout how they were planning to leave the job. I don't really like that when I'm trying to enjoy a pub and a pint, but perhaps it's not really that great for them.
Lovely pub in kings cross, never too busy given the location, lots of seats and different areas. Bit pricey but you're in London so expected. Good pint of guiness and good food!
This is a great pub above the Harry Potter store. Food was great. Staff were quick and attentive. The Cider Ale was amazing. Great way to end our day in London before we got back on the train!
