About This Pub
Ah, The Oxford Arms – what a gem it is for us lot who appreciate a good, no-fuss pub. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this inviting atmosphere that makes you want to settle in for the evening, whether you're nipping in for a quick drink or a full meal. The staff are brilliant, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly, which really adds to the charm of the place. And the food? Well, the Sunday roasts and Saturday breakfasts sound like proper winners – tasty, filling, and at prices that won't break the bank. Plus, they've a solid range of beers and ales to choose from, so you're sorted for a refreshing tipple. On the flip side, it's not going to set the world on fire for everyone; one person mentioned it's just 'not bad' and they've only been a few times over the years, which might mean it's more of a reliable local than a must-visit destination. All in all, if you're in Lowestoft and fancy a spot that's friendly, affordable, and community-oriented, I'd say give it a go – it's got that heartwarming pub spirit that's hard to find elsewhere.

It's a family-run spot, which gives it a warm, community vibe that's hard to beat.
Cons

It might not wow everyone if you're after something a bit more exciting or unique, as one regular found it just 'not bad' after infrequent visits.

With only a handful of reviews shared, it's tricky to get the full picture, and it could feel a tad ordinary for those popping in occasionally.

Recent Reviews
I recently moved house and found this lovely family run pub with a inviting atmosphere. Great fun, I have already met some lovely folks here. The staff and landlady are just fantastic. Food is great too, so much so I now bring my parents to the Oxford Arms for Sunday roast dinners. Saturday breakfasts are really good. Very competitive prices compared to the local competitors. This really is a good local pub.
Lovely little local. Saturday kitchen is fantastic and the roast dinners ain't too bad either!
Not bad, live nearby and been in about 7-8 times in 25 years.
The Oxford Arms Public House is absolutely brilliant,
We went for Sunday lunch from the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left we where looked after.
It's good honest food at reasonable prices with a choice of turkey, chicken, beef, gammon and pork buy get there early for maximum choice of meats, to accompany these there was plenty of veg choice too and two diffrent graveys with all the sauces you can think of.
The service was outstanding from the friendly staff, the oxford arms is a good, honest, warm and proper local community pub.
Highly recommended, just gutted it's not in the town where I now live.
Kids £6 , adults £10 and extra large £12 Deserts available and although we didn't have them they looked amazing too
