About This Pub

Oh, chatting about The One Crown, it's got this lovely, unpretentious charm that just draws you in – think of it as that reliable local where you can pop in for a proper pint and feel like you've stepped into a bit of history. The staff are absolute stars, always up for a friendly natter and making sure newcomers feel included, even if you're flying solo; it's those personal touches that really make the place shine. With its roots as Watford's oldest pub, it offers a traditional escape with comfy spots to settle in and share a laugh with the regulars, which is just spot on for unwinding after a long day. On the flip side, it's a tad frustrating that there's no website to check the ins and outs, and the hours can wrap up earlier than you'd like, so you might need to plan around that if you're after a longer session. All in all, it's a solid choice for genuine pub vibes, but with a few tweaks, it could be even better – worth a visit if you're in the area for that heartfelt, community feel.

As I walked in I was welcomed by a lovely man called Micheal made me feel welcome in this gorgeous pub he’s got a heart of gold. I came in on my own he still made me feel welcomed and not outnumbered and we had a very good chat and a great laugh I highly recommend the one crown
