About This Pub

Ah, The Florist in Watford is one of those hidden gems that really pulls you in with its stunning floral decor – it's like stepping into a blooming garden, ideal for a relaxed catch-up over lunch or a lively evening. From what I've gathered from folks who've been, the food is a real winner, with fresh flavours on their new seasonal menus and that affordable lunch option at £8.50, plus brunch on Fridays and Saturdays that sounds like a treat. It's ace that they welcome dogs on the terrace, making it feel welcoming for everyone, and the live DJs on weekends give it a fun, upbeat vibe that keeps things entertaining. On the downside, a couple of mates mentioned the service isn't always spot-on; you might find yourself waiting a bit or having to get someone's attention, and some dishes like the pork chops have been a bit overdone. Plus, with it being a bit pricey, it's probably best saved for when you fancy splashing out rather than a quick pint. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're in Watford – just keep expectations balanced for a enjoyable visit without any surprises.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The beautiful floral interior is an absolute delight, making it a perfect spot for a romantic date or snapping some fun photos with mates.
  • The food is spot on with generous portions and fresh new menus, like that tempting £8.50 lunch deal or the weekend brunch served from 11am.
  • It's wonderfully dog-friendly in the bar and outside terrace, so you can bring your furry companion along for the outing.
  • Live DJs on Friday and Saturday evenings add a lively buzz, turning it into a great place for a fun night out.
Cons
  • Service can be a tad inconsistent at times, with some folks needing to wave for attention rather than getting prompt help.
  • A few dishes might not hit the mark, like overcooked pork chops that could do with a bit more care in the kitchen.
  • It's on the pricier side, so it might stretch the budget if you're just popping in for a casual drink or meal.

Sure! Here's a more natural and polished version of your comments: --- This is a lovely spot for lunch, with a beautifully floral interior that makes it perfect for a date or taking photos with friends and family. The service fee is optional if you're in a group of fewer than seven people. The food is excellent — the Asian Pork Belly Bites are my absolute favorite: sweet, crispy, and tender without being dry. The Cumberland sausage also makes a solid choice for a main course. Prices are reasonable, around \$30 per person without dessert. Overall, I definitely recommend this place. Just keep in mind that there aren't many servers, so things might be a bit slow — patience helps!

Sat outside in the lovely sun, this was a quick stop before heading home. My friend and I ordered soft drinks, table water, and a side of chips. Very pretty decor and lots of photo opportunities. I would visit and recommend.

Such a beautiful spot to eat, grab a drink, and have a good chat. It’s got a rustic charm but still feels super elegant and well taken care of. The food was great overall—though the pork chops were a bit overcooked and chewy. Service could’ve been smoother; we had to wave a few times to get someone’s attention. Seemed like they might’ve been short-staffed and doing their best. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience. Definitely going back!

A surprisingly great meal! We just walked in with no research/recommendation and loved it. The decor was fun, every dish was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. It's tucked away a bit but it's worth the search.

Such a beautiful place and great vibes. Been living here 6 months and moving back up north next week so this was our first and last ( atm ) time here and I regret not going earlier. The food was so lovely. We done the small plates and a mocktail. Absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend this place.
