About This Pub
You know, I had a great time at Humo Watford the other week, and I'd say it's one of those places that really delivers on the good stuff while having a few minor quirks. The food is spot on – think tasty tapas and cracking cocktails that pair perfectly, especially during happy hour when everything feels like a bargain. The team there are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making sure you have a memorable visit, like sorting out a special birthday treat. It's got this cosy, romantic vibe that's ideal for a laid-back night out, with just the right background music to keep things cheerful. On the flip side, you might find the odd dish isn't quite cooked to perfection, such as a steak that's a tad underdone, or some sides that don't quite live up to the hype, so it's smart to play it safe with the menu highlights. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for genuine Spanish flavours in a welcoming setting, and with ratings as high as 4.7, it's clear most folks leave with a smile – I'd definitely pop back for more!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The tapas and cocktails are simply outstanding – fresh, flavoursome, and a real treat for anyone craving authentic Spanish vibes.
-
Happy hour deals make it brilliant value, perfect for kicking back with friends over a few drinks without breaking the bank.
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, often going the extra mile with thoughtful touches like birthday surprises.
-
It's got a cosy, romantic atmosphere that's just right for a relaxed evening, with tasteful music and high-quality food that's fairly priced.
Cons
-
Some dishes might not hit the mark every time, like a steak coming out a bit rarer than expected when you asked for medium rare.
-
A few sides can feel underwhelming compared to the rest of the menu, so it's worth focusing on the standout items to avoid disappointment.
-
It can be quite quiet on certain nights, which is lovely for an intimate chat but might lack that lively buzz if you're after a bustling spot.

Visited Humo for the first time today, it has been on my list of restaurants to try for a while and it did not disappoint! We had the Tapas and tried 5 different dishes. To our surprise it was also Happy Hour so we ordered a couple of Strawberry Daiquiries to accompany our meal. If I could give the meal 10/10 I would. The drinks were delicious, each tapas dish was perfect, we particularly enjoyed the bone marrow. The service was superb too. We will be back, I suspect this could quickly become our favourite restaurant in Watford! 🤩
Our absolute favourite restaurant in Watford, we’ve been multiple times and never been disappointed.
We like to arrive a little early, sit at the bar and have a couple of delicious cocktails at the bar (on happy hour) before taking our table.
The menu isn’t extensive, but it doesn’t need to be. The tapas style starters are all on point, personal favourites are the croquetas and gyoza.
Main courses also measure up, with the jerk sauce fantastic, and the short rib falling off the bone.
Top notch service throughout, and the team really make an effort to create a great vibe in the restaurant.
Came for my birthday and had a wonderful time. We were served by Preds who was a wonderful host all evening. Many lovely tapas dishes, delicious cocktails and I even received a birthday dessert! Highly recommend!
Very high quality food, cooked to perfection and fairly priced with good presentation, staff were friendly and kind in a sleek and romantic restaurant especially at night. Went on a Tuesday evening was very quiet but tasteful music in the background kept a positive atmosphere. The bone marrow was excellent, proper fine dining experience with expected smaller portions but the quality makes up for it.
My husband and I went to Humo for dinner. We had the 3 course dinner menu which was good value. The starters were delicious - ham croquettes and fish tacos. The steak main was unfortunately a little rare in the middle when I had wanted medium rare but was yummy but the pickle salad was underwhelming. The dessert of pistachio tiramisu was delicious! Service - not super attentive but they were nice and had to request condiments, remind them we had ordered wine and was a little slow. Wouldn’t rush to go back here.
