About This Pub

Ah, The Old Workshop, what a lovely find in the heart of Aberdeen! From what I've gathered from folks' experiences, it's got this warm, inviting feel that makes you want to settle in for the evening, especially with the live music adding that extra spark – I can just imagine the buzz when a band kicks off. The drinks are a highlight too; they've got a fantastic range of cocktails that are mixed just right, along with plenty of whiskies and beers to suit all tastes, and the staff really go the extra mile to make you feel at home. On the flip side, it's only open a few days a week, so you might need to check ahead to avoid disappointment, and without clear pricing info, it could be a surprise on the wallet. All in all, if you're up for a proper pub crawl or just a quiet drink with mates, I'd say give it a go – it's got that genuine charm that makes a night out memorable.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – it's a cosy, welcoming spot with great live music that really gets the evening going.
  • The staff are top-notch; they're friendly and attentive, like Connar who made such a positive impression with his service.
  • They've got a brilliant selection of cocktails, whiskies, and beers, all mixed generously and tasting spot on.
  • It's a hidden gem in Aberdeen, perfect for a night out, and its location next to other bars makes it easy to hop around.
Cons
  • The opening hours can be a bit limited, with it only open a few days a week, so you might have to plan your visit carefully.
  • It's not always clear what's on offer price-wise, as it's not specified, which could catch you out if you're watching the pennies.

Gorgeous wee cocktail bar which is a bit of a hidden gem in Aberdeen! Beautiful atmosphere in the tunnel and we were lucky to catch a live acoustic performance while in. Nice selection of beers available and the cocktails are mixed very generously and well! On top of this, the staff are absolutely wonderful - so friendly and very helpful. Well worth a visit for the perfect, relaxing night

We stopped in by for a couple of drinks. There were a number of cocktails to choose from but the bar tender also could make any cocktail you asked for. The two cocktails that I had were delicious. There was a huge range of whisky's to choose from but also some non alcoholic beers for the designated driver to enjoy. The atmosphere was great. It's very cool the workshop is in an old tunnel that used to be a coal seller and also a workshop and a car park. Lots of history. Service was so friendly. Relaxing but upbeat place. Totally recommend.
