About This Pub
Ah, The Ivy Lodge – it's one of those hidden gems in the heart of Aberdeen that I've grown quite fond of chatting about with mates. Picture this: you're stepping into a beautifully designed bar with a warm, welcoming vibe, whether you're opting for the cosy indoors or that heated outdoor beer garden that's just perfect for a summer evening or even a crisp autumn night. The drinks menu is spot on, offering everything from refreshing craft beers to inventive cocktails, and the fact you can get street food delivered right to your table makes it feel like a complete package for a night out. I love how they've got events like quiz nights and open mic sessions that really bring people together for a laugh. Plus, being dog-friendly adds a nice touch if you're out with your four-legged companion. On the flip side, though, service can drag a bit – I've heard tales of waiting ages for a round, which might frustrate you if you're eager to keep the conversation flowing. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed get-together, and with that 4.2 rating, it's clear most folks leave with a smile, but just go in with realistic expectations and you'll have a whale of a time.
Pros and Cons

-
They've got a fantastic selection of drinks, from craft beers and cocktails to mocktails, and it's all served in a stylish setting.
-
The heated outdoor beer garden is a real winner, especially on those chilly Scottish evenings – it's spacious and can seat up to 300 folks.
-
It's dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend along for the fun.
-
You can order tasty street food straight to your table from their partners, like stuffed ciabattas or filthy burgers – makes for a proper night out.
-
They host brilliant events like Wednesday quiz nights and Thursday open mic sessions, which add a great buzz and keep things lively.
-
The staff are really friendly and welcoming, always up for a chat or putting on the telly for a big game.
Cons
-
Service can be a bit slow at times, with waits of up to 40 minutes for drinks, which might put a dampener on things if you're in a rush.
-
It can feel a tad quiet during off-peak hours, like on a Sunday afternoon, so it might not always have that vibrant energy you're after.
-
The operating hours seem a bit inconsistent from what's listed, so it's worth double-checking before heading out to avoid disappointment.

A lovely relaxed atmosphere. Nice drinks, choice of "outside" which is heated and undercover or inside.
You can order food from the partners since ivy lodge which is great!
Stopped for a refreshing beer. Really enjoyed the atmosphere & design. Had a couple of nice low alcohol beers from Fierce. Bartender was very friendly, put on the darts final for me.
This is a new place to me. It was pretty empty when we arrived, but I still like the vibes of this place. I can imagine this is place is a nice place to sit and have drinks on a sunny day. We went on a Sunday in March, so it was not the same, but warm enough to have a drink outside. And Wow! they have blue Hooch. A pleasant surprise :)
Just stop by for a drink before get my train. Its like a hidden gem of Aberdeen. First impression is awesome because has amazing atmosphere and beautiful decor. Love the bar wall so do the stairs going up. Beautiful gallery.
Great drinks you can enjoy while watching sports as they have screens. I think the staff is the main key for this running this superb place because they were attentive, helpful and be there for customers. Surely i’ll be back when in Aberdeen.
Went here for after dinner drink. Gorgeous and unusual setting. Very friendly casual atmosphere. Drinks were amazing but took SOOOOOOOO long to be served. One round we waited around 40 mins for 5 drinks. They were great though. Hot chips were awesome.
