About This Pub
You know, I really enjoyed my time at Malones Irish Bar in Aberdeen – it's one of those places that just feels right for a relaxed evening out. Tucked away near the train station, it's dead handy if you're nipping in after a journey or staying at a nearby hotel, and the atmosphere is always buzzing with live music and sports on the telly, which makes it brilliant for catching up with friends. The staff are absolute stars; they're so friendly and attentive, like that bartender who whipped up a custom drink or the manager who kept things lively with their humour. And let's not forget the drinks – a pint of Guinness there is spot on, and the food, such as the haggis poutine, is surprisingly good and hits the spot if you're peckish. On the flip side, I have to say the prices are a bit steep compared to other pubs in the area, so it might not be the best for a budget night, but if you're after quality and a good time, it's well worth it. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for a proper Irish bar experience in Aberdeen.

Fantastic local pub! 2 minutes from the train/bus station and was just beside the hotel. They had great live music with several different musicians throughout the week we stayed. Friendly staff and a great pint of Guinness would be one of the not to miss pubs of Aberdeen!
We were served by Sarah behind the bar, and I couldn't be more impressed. From the moment we walked in, she was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Her friendly attitude and excellent customer service made the evening a pleasurable one. Sarah saw us watching the F1 highlights on our phone and kindly switched the TV channel over so we could watch it on the big screen. We travelled up from Yorkshire so we didn’t know where to go but found our drinking spot which once we found this bar. Sarah shared our enthusiasm for Ducks which I’m sure you will find dotted around the pub 😁 We didn’t order food so I can’t rate or comment on that.
We had some drinks, very nice place and people. Bartender made me some drink out of card for my request :) Prices a bit to high but I guess they are similar everywhere in this city.
Sam the manager of the Bit on the Side at Malones was an absolute star she made our evening with her generous spirit and fun sense of humour. If you give bonuses then Sam deserves one. Great atmosphere, great attitude and a fun couple of evenings spent in a fantastic bar.
It’s a good pub if you like watching Sports. I was there watching the rugby. I ordered some food via the QR code. It was delicious haggis poutine.
