About This Pub

Ah, The Old Bank – it's one of those places in Liverpool that just draws you in with its stunning decor and that genuine old-school charm from its days as a bank. I've got to say, the atmosphere is spot on; it's warm and inviting, perfect for a catch-up with friends or a casual night out. The staff really make the experience shine – they're so friendly and efficient, making you feel like a regular from the get-go. And the food? Well, it's a winner; everything from the cheesy nachos to the main dishes is tasty and won't break the bank. Plus, the live music adds a brilliant buzz, with talented performers keeping things lively without overpowering the fun. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect – you might find yourself waiting in a long queue at the bar, which can be a bit frustrating on a busy night. And the music, while great, does crank up the volume, making it hard to have a proper chinwag. Overall, it's a solid choice for a good time, especially if you're up for some energy and don't mind the occasional downside – just plan ahead and you'll have a whale of a time.

  • The music can get quite loud, making it tough to chat with mates without raising your voice.
  • It might feel a tad overwhelming during peak times, with the hustle and bustle potentially putting off a relaxed evening.

From walking through the front door to sitting down we were impressed with the decor and atmosphere. The waiting staff were very polite, professional and made me feel like a regular even though it was my first time visiting liverpool. The food was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed every single bite. I would highly recommend The Old Bank to anyone visiting liverpool.

Okay, cards on the table, I love this place. Been coming for over two years during the week and it's consistently very good. Great atmosphere, the food is super and well priced ( note to management that's not a reason to put the prices up!). Live music from singers who play guitar every night from 5pm till 8.45ish. Comfortable seating upstairs and downstairs on the large bunketts, at least 9 of these, especially good with the football on ( it's only a game remember). My favourite dish is the Caesar salad, which is well worth it at only £8. Best waitress is Lydia, always has a smile and attentive service no matter how busy it gets. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

The Old Bank is a stunning bar with a beautiful aesthetic—definitely a must-see! The drinks were amazing, but the long queue at the bar was a downside, taking around 30 minutes just to order. Inside, the music was so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation, but they do host live music, which I’ve heard is really good. Despite the wait, it’s worth a visit for the atmosphere and great drinks!

Very impressed all round by this pub restaurant. Built in an old bank and keeping much of that feel, there's a great atmosphere as soon as you enter. We came at a very busy time and needed to eat and leave within 50 minutes. No problem, they said. They didn't lie. Within fifteen minutes we had our food and drinks and were tucking in. I couldn't believe the prices. We thought there must be a catch, but there wasn't. Our fish and chips was tasty and even the mushy peas (that most restaurants fail at) were delicious. I will happily come here again. Great food, good service and live music performed for our delight. Perfect!

Not been here for many years but it's not changed at all. It used to be a bank and you can tell from the size of the place. Drinks are a very reasonable price and there's plenty of seating. I was feeling a bit peckish and tried out the cheesy nachos and they were very nice and good value for money. They also had a duo on and it's nice to see a bit of entertainment in the afternoon. Well worth a visit.
