About This Pub

Ah, The Oddfellows Arms – it's one of those local gems in Eccles, Manchester, that really knows how to pull in a crowd for a relaxed evening. From what I've gathered from the chats online, it's got this warm, inviting feel with a fantastic atmosphere that's buzzing with entertainment like live music, darts, and a pool table – ideal if you're up for some friendly competition or just soaking in the tunes. The prices are spot on too, making it easy to enjoy a pint without worrying about the cost, and the staff come across as genuinely helpful, quick to handle any hiccups and always up for a chat. That recent makeover has given the place a fresh look with plenty of space, and the drink options with their offers are a real highlight. On the flip side, though, it can get a tad overwhelming with the noise from lively groups, which might not suit everyone, especially if you're hoping for a peaceful catch-up. Still, overall, it's a solid spot for a good time, and I'd say it's worth popping in if you're in the area – just keep in mind it might not be the quietest corner of town. What do you reckon, fancy giving it a go next time?

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – it's lively and welcoming, perfect for a good night out with friends.
  • Prices are really reasonable, making it an affordable spot for a pint or a few drinks without breaking the bank.
  • The staff are friendly and on top of things, always ready to sort out any issues and make you feel at home.
  • There's fabulous entertainment on offer, like music, darts, and a pool table, which adds to the fun.
  • The recent refit looks brilliant, with a large open space and a great selection of drinks and special offers.
Cons
  • It can get a bit noisy with loud chatter from folks who've had a few, which might spoil the vibe if you're after something quieter.
  • Compared to other pubs in the area, it doesn't always stand out as the top choice, so it might feel just average on some visits.

The Oddfellows Arms is reasonable welcoming Bar...compared to the 5 others in Eccles Centre. Now I prefer entertaing at home...sometimes in Bars the loud voices when drinkers have had a few..can be annoying. JOHN PARKINSON (71) former journalist on Radio.

Enjoy the music and pint in here. Keep myself to myself but the staff are friendly and straight onto any issues especially since it's been took over.
