About This Pub
Ah, The New Hampton – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local in Wolverhampton, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the place really shines with its wide range of drinks and those unbeatable offers that make it easy to settle in for the evening. The staff come across as genuinely helpful and create a warm, family-oriented environment, especially with the large outdoor areas and that lovely garden spot for when the weather's on your side. It's brilliant for catching live sports on the big screens or hosting a get-together in the private room upstairs. On the flip side, though, it's a shame it's not a bit larger, as it can get a bit snug when things pick up, and I've heard a few mates mention missing those hearty traditional dishes like stews and pies that were once a staple – it might leave you wanting more on the food front. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed night out, and with ratings hovering around 4.5 to 4.7 lately, most people seem to leave with a smile, so I'd say it's worth checking out for a pint and a chat.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The New Hampton has a fantastic selection of drinks, from beers and lagers to wines and ciders, making it a top spot for a proper pint or a cheeky cocktail.
-
It's got a really welcoming vibe with friendly staff and a well-decorated interior, plus plenty of space outside in the garden area – perfect for a sunny afternoon.
-
They show live sports like football and rugby on HD screens, and there are great deals on drinks, especially during events or for students.
-
Being family-friendly with large outdoor spaces and a private function room upstairs, it's ideal for gatherings or just popping in for a relaxed drink.
Cons
-
It's a bit on the small side in places, which can make it feel crowded during busy times, and some folks wish it had more room to spread out.
-
They've dropped some of the traditional grub like hot stews and pies that used to be a big draw, so the food options might not live up to everyone's expectations these days.

Great pub but it’s missing the amazing hot stews , hot pots and steak and ale pies with chips that was standard for many years .
Great family friendly pub to have a drink. Large outdoor spaces too.
Bigger on the inside. Friendly helpful staff. Private function room upstairs. Traditional local family orientated pub. Went to 50th held in the large conservatory leading to massive outdoor seating and a garden area in the back just lovely.
