About This Pub
Ah, The Nags Head – it's one of those classic spots that really captures the essence of a traditional village pub, isn't it? From what I've gathered, it's got this lovely homely feel with features that make you want to settle in for the evening, and the beers are spot on, pulled fresh from the barrel with a good mix of Greene King favourites and guests to keep things interesting. The staff are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels welcome, which is just what you want after a long day. They've got live music and jam nights that sound like a right laugh, adding that extra spark to the place, and the food doesn't disappoint either, with home-cooked dishes and some nice deals for OAPs. On the flip side, it's a shame to hear that it's lost a bit of its character over the years, like some of that unique village pub magic has faded, and the hours can be a bit unpredictable, with early closes that might cut your night short. All in all, though, with such high praise from folks who've been there, it's still a solid choice for a pint and a catch-up – just go in with realistic expectations and you're in for a good time.

Cons
-
It seems like the pub has lost a bit of its original character over time, which might disappoint if you're after that authentic old-school feel.

The opening hours can be a tad confusing with varying closing times, and some days wrap up earlier than you'd expect for a pub session.

Good atmosphere. Great Jam night 👍
Honestly the pub has lost some character overtime but there's plenty of seating inside and out. Service is fine.
Friendly staff. Not too bad a choice of beers, and the lunchtime sandwich was very tasty.
What a Lovely Pub !
Went to the Nags Head last night for the first time. Some really lovely features around the pub that makes it feel so warm and inviting. Good selection of beers straight from the barrel. Lovely friendly staff that made you feel very welcome. Unfortunately I didn't try the food so unable to complete my star rating for that. Cannot wait to visit again!
A lovely classic pub, very homely and welcoming atmosphere, will be going back again!
