About This Pub
So, having a look at The Mount Pleasant Inn, it's got that proper pub warmth that you don't always find these days – think comfortable seats where you can sink in for a good natter, and beers like Wye Valley that folks rave about. It's dead welcoming too, with a dog-friendly policy and space for families, which makes it feel like a real community spot. With a solid 4.0 rating from the reviews, most seem to have had a top time, like Kevin who was impressed on his Saturday visit. But, on the downside, it's only open three days a week, so you might have to time your trip just right, and there are a couple of niggles, such as regulars hogging the bar or some missing the old features amidst the updates. All in all, it's worth seeking out if you're after a laid-back pint, but go in with realistic expectations for a balanced night out.

Visited pub on Saturday and very impressed. Comfortable seating , great Wye Valley beer, dog friendly and with well behaved children. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Will take dogs next time
Nice independent little pub. Abbot Ale on tap. Went at 4pm on a Friday and we were the only couple in there.
Maybe due for a rename to ‘The Mount’
Was really looking forward to this place reopening after several years closed. Went in a couple of weeks ago when the proprietor wasn’t there (significant) and had a really enjoyable time (full of people and a friendly atmosphere including the bar staff). Went back tonight and arrived to an empty pub with Mike the publican behind the bar. He seemed friendly enough but bearing in mind the bar was advertised to stay open till midnight, at 10.50 he turned the bar lights out and said he was tired so that was it, can we go. Would have been nice to get a last orders and a bit of warning. The guy needs to get a bit of customer service training cause he’s lost two customers for good tonight.
Great pub only thing when you get regular in they away sit by bar then can't get to bar
The landlord is a Muppet but we wouldn't have it any other way, love you Mike Morris. Toilets are a bit swanky, as well as a much better choice of beers, but what became of the old round table? If you've still got it, I'll have it!
