About This Pub
Ah, Hand In Glove – it's one of those places that really grows on you once you're through the door. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the cocktails are an absolute highlight; they're beautifully crafted with some unusual blends that leave you feeling refreshed and impressed, and plenty of people say it's the best spot in Worcester for a proper drink. The staff are just lovely, always greeting you with a smile and sharing their expertise – think attentive service from folks like Josh and Cameron that makes the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. The ambiance is spot on too, with comfortable seating and a relaxed vibe that's perfect for a catch-up or a quiet evening. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect; the move to table service with that added charge has rubbed some the wrong way, as it changes the dynamic and makes it feel a bit less laid-back than popping up to the bar. Then there's the constant topping up of those tiny water glasses, which can feel a touch overbearing if you're after a more hands-off approach. Overall, if you're up for trying something a bit special and don't mind the odd hiccup, it's well worth a visit for a great night out – just go in with an open mind and you'll likely have a brilliant time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The cocktails are absolutely spot on – many folks reckon they're the best in Worcester, with creative blends and unusual spirits that make for a refreshing treat
-
The staff are an absolute delight; they're friendly, knowledgeable, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, with mentions of brilliant service from the likes of Josh and Cameron
-
The ambiance is lovely and relaxing, especially with comfortable booth seating and a buzzing atmosphere that creates a great spot for a catch-up with mates
-
It's a nice touch how they serve water with every drink, adding to that thoughtful and attentive feel without you having to ask
Cons
-
The switch to table service with an added service charge has put some people off, as it feels a bit formal and takes away from the casual bar vibe
-
Those constant refills of tiny water glasses can come across as a tad intrusive, making some feel like they're being hovered over rather than left to enjoy their evening
-
You won't find everyday spirits like Bacardi or Jack Daniel's here – only pricier alternatives, which might not suit everyone's budget or taste
-
The exterior doesn't exactly pull you in; it might take a bit of courage to step inside, as it's not the most inviting from the outside

Refreshing and relaxing experience. Pay at the end not every drink - so nice and the
people here are lovely you're greeted with a good evening and water for every drink. Experienced staff. Very nice establishment and philosophy of service, Cameron especially was so legend 😁
Lovely late night bar by the cathedral. Lovely ambiance and good selection of drinks, many unusual blends of spirits. Common spirits like Bacardi and Jack Daniel’s not available but pricier alternatives are. Nice touch with water served at the table. Josh at the bar very attentive and knowledgeable on spirits and wine.
Amazing cocktails, best in Worcester still, but so sad that they now just do table service and add a service charge. A bit off putting the constant tiny water glasses being filled up too. Lost its vibe as prefer to wait at the bar. To the managers credit he wouldn’t let us pay for the cocktails as I was unhappy with the new set up, even though the drinks were lush. This used to be my fav place but won’t be going back now, Sorry 🙁😕
Great place for drinks and cocktails. Really friendly, Josh and Joel are amazing. We always look forward to visiting.
I’ve always been put off going here by its exterior but muster up the courage to walk through the door and you’ll find one of the best cocktail bars in Worcester.
Beautiful cocktails, comfortable booth seating, great staff, buzzing atmosphere. I’m annoyed it’s taken me this long to check it out.
Don’t sleep on the dessert cocktails.
