About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Melody Whisky Bar – it's one of those places that really pulls you in if you're into your whiskies. I've heard from quite a few mates that the selection is just brilliant, with all sorts of rare and famous drams that make for an exciting adventure. The historical setting adds a nice touch, like stepping back in time while sipping something special, and the food options sound spot on, pairing beautifully with the drinks for a proper treat. Events like whisky dinners seem like a highlight, where the team really shines in sharing their knowledge. But, on the flip side, it's not all smooth sailing; some have mentioned patchy service that can let things down, especially when it's busy, and there've been a couple of tales about reservation mix-ups that left a sour note. Overall, it's a solid choice for a night out, as long as you go in with realistic expectations – the good bits far outweigh the bad, but it's always good to be prepared. If you're planning a visit, I'd say give it a go for the whisky alone; you might just discover your new favourite dram!

Went for whisky tasting. Loved the drinks and food. However, I thought the service I felt was lacking. Patches of good service but it wasnt consistent across the board. I would recommend CPD training. I know it was a busy day but that doesnt mean lapses in service. Anyhow, the whisky collection is insane. Will definitely return to sample a few whiskies and I'll try this on a quite day to see how service holds up.
One of the best places to experience whisky and cigars in West London. The location is also a historical gem from WW2. Very friendly service team (not a cliche) to guide you in your whisky and cigar voyage.
Fantastic experience at Melody - I took a customer to taste a few drams. Yes, the Whisky selection was fantastic and the service was good - but the way the building was dressed up in Christmas attire was pretty special as well. Made for a wonderful afternoon and some truly special memories for my customer before he jetted off back to the US. I’ll be back again.
Humiliating experience!!!
Very disappointed because i had booked this place on open table for my best friends birthday. i had a confirmation in my email but when we arrived the lady manager said she could not find our reservation and therefore could not seat us inside. half the palce was empty but Instead we were offered a seat outside the restaurant greeting area in the lobby. If it had not been a birthday i would have just left and never come back but as we had made a trip there already we decided to stay. The whiskeys were a good range but the whole experience was ruined because we were seated at the entrance of the restaurant - somewhat embarrasingly and was a humiliating experience . People kept walking into the restaurant - i guess wondering why we were eating and drinking outside when there was plenty of seating inside. We only stayed for nibbles and some drinks because of this but in that time 2/3 other people had issues with their reservations but still were managed a seat indoors.
I think if it wasnt a birthday celebration or if there was other places close by i wouldn't have minded as much but it was a overall 1/10 experience. The lady manager was not really helpful and when we left there was still plenty of tables. Overall i understand they may not have a good reservation system but thats not my problem and this place made it my fault.
Will never be going back and do not recommend you do either- theres plenty of other bars that will treat you a bit kinder IMO.
also on a side note the cocktail we got was not good
It’s amazing to have Melody back to it’s standards and amazing staff as well as familiar faces.
The food was delicious, the belly pork just melts in your mouth, the flavours are so delicate. The brioche not overly sweet and terrine. Just on point.
The selection of wines is very good.
They even came up with birthday macaroons and chocolate writing with a candle. ( when you make a stoic smile , that is skill)
Such an interesting dessert. Parsnip cake.
Waiters were all amazing.
Clean, speedy.
Compliments to all and the chef. Keep it up
