About This Pub

Ah, The Cumberland Arms – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, tucked away near London Olympia. From what I've gathered from the chatter, it's got this fantastic interior with dark woods that give it a classic, homely touch, making it dead easy to unwind after a long day. The food's a real highlight too; think tasty burgers, sausages, and those legendary hand-cut chips that keep people coming back for more. And let's not forget the beer selection – it's spot on for anyone who appreciates a good pint. The service stands out as well; staff like Ben and Will are friendly and attentive, adding to that neighbourhood feel without being over the top. On the flip side, it might be a tad subdued on quieter afternoons, so if you're hoping for a lively buzz, popping in later in the evening could be the way to go. All in all, it's a solid spot for a catch-up with mates or a solo drink, offering that balance of relaxation and good times without any fuss.

A really large attractive pub, close to London Olympia. The interior is nicely appointed with dark wood furnishings, and I’d imagine that the outside space would be very popular on a warm day. On a mid-week March afternoon it was pretty quiet, although it started getting busier after 5:30pm. Three cask hand pumps but only two on at the time of my visit, which was slightly disappointing given the number of framed real ale pictures on the walls. The European food menu looked great, and I guess that this is the pub’s main marketing point; definitely more of a gastropub than a boozer. Nevertheless, I liked the place and friendly service, and would definitely return to eat with friends.

We decided to have the soup starter and then, for the main course, the burger and the Italian sausages; and we weren't disappointed. The menu looks quite inviting with a cross section of starters along with meat and vegetarian main courses. The pub looks modernized but in sympathy with the old style of pub. So it's actually feels homely. It's quite light and airy with plenty of Windows to give a view outside where there is, at the back, a park which gives something else pleasant to look at. The soup came along quite quickly and was really hot which I appreciate. The main course I think took about 15 minutes or thereabouts so it wasn't quick but it wasn't slow. I can see why the Cumberland arms gets good reviews.

The hand-cut chips…. So good never tasted such fabulous chips anywhere else. Just passed by and grabbed a drink but couldn’t leave until it closed, staying for 3 hours!! The staff Ben was very friendly.

Delicious food, easy going atmosphere and Will served us well. We loved this neighborhood pub since it wasn't crowded. I am surprised it wasn't packed given how good the food was. Pictures of a burger and the mussels we ate here are attached.
