About This Pub
Ah, The Lighthouse Bar and Grill – it's one of those places that just feels like a proper local gem in Halesowen, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, the food is where it really shines; folks are raving about the delicious Indian dishes, like the lamb chops and mixed grills that are packed with authentic flavours, and even the vegetarian options get high praise. It's all served up with such friendly service – imagine staff who are genuinely attentive and make you feel right at home, which is just lovely for a family outing or a casual catch-up with mates. Plus, at an inexpensive price, it's easy to see why people keep coming back for more. On the flip side, though, a few have mentioned that portions can seem a touch small, so if you're starving, it might not quite hit the mark, and there's that occasional issue with food arriving at staggered times, which could leave one person eating while the others wait. The atmosphere is pretty laid-back, which is great if you fancy a quiet pint, but it might not be the buzzing spot if you're after more energy. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out – I'd say give it a go and see for yourself; the positives definitely outweigh the niggles!
Pros and Cons

-
The service is top-notch; staff like Ammy go out of their way to make you feel welcome, with friendly chats and attentive care that makes for a relaxed visit.

Portions can be generous, as some folks have noted, so you might even have leftovers for a cheeky doggy bag to take home.
-
At an inexpensive price level, it's brilliant value for money, making it easy to pop in without breaking the bank.
Cons
-
Portions might feel a bit on the small side for some, especially if you're after a hearty feed, though others say it's just right to avoid overdoing it.
-
Food can come out at different times for your group, which might mean one person is tucking in while others are still waiting, putting a slight dampener on the meal.
-
The atmosphere in the pub area is described as quite low-key, which could be peaceful for some but a tad quiet if you're after a lively buzz.

Best for all family environment with delicious cousine love the test. I recommend to all pleae once visit and feel the test.
We've lived in halesowen for 7 years, and randomly decided to come here. Fantastic food, lamb chops were amazing, the mixed grill was lovely, the kids loved their massala. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and Ammy gave us great service, couldn't do enough for us. Deffo coming back
Portions of food are slightly on the small side, but at the same time it was just right, it wasn't over filling. I would say they are slightly bigger than a children's portion.
Although three of us ordered together, our food came out at separate times, and the first person was halfway through eating theirs before the rest came out.
Food could have been hotter (temperature wise)
Although they do give you a hot plate.
Food was very tasty.
Lamb madras - roughly eight pieces of lamb and it was cooked to perfection, nice soft and tender pieces of meat, and a perfect level of spiciness.
Masala chips - they did have seasoning on them but you couldn't taste it, there was just like normal plain chips.
Chilli cheese nann bread - beautiful soft and light bread with a good mix of cheese and fresh chilli's
Boneless chicken tikka - five pieces of meat, Great taste but needed to be warmer as the meat was lukewarm.
Sheesk kebab - same as above.
Chilli chips - nice flavour but chips was cold.
Although there were a few issues with the food, this will not be stopping me going again.
I had an incredible dining experience at this Indian restaurant! The flavors in every dish were exquisite and authentically captured the essence of Indian cuisine. The bar area provided a comfortable place to sit, adding to the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that every aspect of our visit was enjoyable. Meeting Chef Garry was a highlight—he's truly a tremendously talented chef. I highly recommend exploring their diverse menu of authentic dishes. Personally, I recommend trying the Honey Chilli Chicken and Lamb Rara Masala. This restaurant is undoubtedly a gem that's a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Indian flavors!
The food was delicious- i had the vegetarian mixed grill and the onion bhajee was amazing, as was everything else. Portion sizes are huge as well so don't need anything else
Service was amazing and we took what was left home with us in a little doggy bag
The atmosphere in the pub part was quite low when we arrived and there didn't seem to be as choice of different drinks that you find in other local pubs but still wouldn't put me off going again
