About This Pub

You know, if you're after a proper pub experience in Rowley Regis, the Bell & Bear Inn really hits the mark – it's got that classic Black Country charm with a menu full of tasty, traditional fare made from local produce, like their standout Sunday roasts and burgers that folks rave about. The service is always bang on, with staff going out of their way to make you feel at ease, whether you're just nipping in for a quick drink or hosting a bigger do. It's got a relaxed, homely feel that's ideal for unwinding with mates or tucking into a generous portion that won't break the bank. On the flip side, though, the car park's a bit of a nuisance with its tight spaces, so you'd want to keep an eye out to avoid any bumps or scrapes. Overall, it's a solid choice for a good night out, with plenty of positive vibes from regulars who keep coming back for more – just plan your parking and you're in for a treat!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely top-notch, with traditional dishes like Sunday roasts and cottage pie made from locally sourced ingredients – it's proper hearty and full of flavour.
  • Service is spot on, always friendly and welcoming, making it a great spot for a relaxed catch-up or even a special event with the family.
  • The atmosphere is warm and chilled, perfect for enjoying a pint of real ale in a cosy setting.
  • Portions are generous and it's reasonably priced, so you get brilliant value for a proper pub meal.
  • It's dog-friendly, which is a lovely touch if you're popping in with your four-legged mate.
Cons
  • The car park spaces are a bit on the small side, so you might end up with a dent if you're not careful – one person mentioned their car got damaged there.

Great place to visit, especially for the sunset. Just be extra careful in the car park. My car was damaged by the person who parked next to me because the spaces are so small. Got a nice dent in the door now (thank you metallic blue Mini owner)

The Bell and Bear is always a favourite of ours, and last week they hosted 16 of us for a big birthday celebration. Service was impeccable from start to finish and they made us feel very welcome and at ease. Food was delicious as always and the whole team worked so hard to make the experience fun and enjoyable. The renovations they have done are absolutely amazing and the kids play area is a lovely bonus! If I could give any feedback, it would be to serve the kids food before the adults when serving a large group, as they got a little restless with everyone's food out before theirs! Not a criticism, just an observation. :) Thank you again to everyone. Xx

Best food we’ve had on our trip to England. We’ve been to 4 other towns, plus several days in London, and this spot has surpassed them all! The entire experience, food, drinks, dessert, and service, were all excellent. And to top it off, the view is amazing. I can’t recommend this place more!

Always fantastic food, visited here many times over the last 6+ years. The cottage pie is the best I’ve ever had from a pub! Such a quality place 🍺🥧 and very dog friendly too 🐾

Always on the look out for somewhere decent to go and what a find! Service was good, place was cozy everyone in there seemed relaxed which is a massive positive. Everything I asked did not seem a bother to them. Meals were a good size and quality was very good. Myself I'm not too keen on massive onion rings just don't think they taste as good as the smaller ones but they were the best large onion rings I have tried will give them that! Beans instead of peas on the mixed grill was a nice touch and again very tasty (wonder if you could swap to peas if requested for next time🤔) The cheesecake although salted caramel is also not my favorite prefer lemon or Oreo, it was still to die for really shocked me! I can find no real reason why I would not return or why I would not recommend to others. They do so many things right! Need to pop back when not driving to sample there beers didn't really see what ales they have on offer so can not comment but if as good as there food should be no issues at all. Bell & bear inn have already raised the bar very high for 2024, well done to all who work there.
