About This Pub
Ah, The Lazy Dog – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local haunt in Bristol, you know? From what I've gathered chatting about it, the beers are a standout, with a brilliant selection of local options that really showcase the best of the area, and they're always well-kept so you won't have a disappointing pint. The food menu is spot on too, offering everything from light small plates to those comforting pub classics and a smashing Sunday roast that folks rave about. It's got that warm, community feel with friendly staff who make you feel like you're part of the gang, and the beer garden is a real winner – whether you're catching some rays in summer or staying cosy with the heaters in winter. On the downside, the hours can be a bit confusing, and you might bump into minor niggles like a faulty heater or portions that don't quite fill you up as much as you'd hope. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening out, and I'd say it's well worth popping in if you're after good vibes and a balanced experience without the fuss.

-
They've got a great vibe with events like weekly comedy nights and film clubs, plus it's dog-friendly which is a lovely touch.
Cons
-
The operating hours can seem a bit muddled at times, so it's worth double-checking before heading out.
-
Occasionally, little things like a broken heat lamp in the garden might put a dampener on things.
-
Some dishes, like the fish and chips, might have portions that feel a tad on the small side for what you're paying.

Big beer selection, never had a bad pint in here. Happy hour until 6pm in the week for selected drinks, which is when I visit. Nice chilled beer garden. Top boozer
We hired the top level of lazy dog for a 30th birthday party and I honestly cannot recommend enough. The service was excellent, specifically Gabriel on the bar who really made the evening special with being so attentive. The food was also amazing. Overall I cannot fault the lazy dog and I would recommend to anyone hosting an event or just food/ drinks.
Food is delicious, drinks are wonderful, my favourite pub. All the staff are wonderful and so friendly. Jack, Noah and CJ especially are so accommodating and make you feel at home. Will return to the Lazy Dog every time ❤️
Roast was really good l got the mixed meat one. Beers good price especially at happy hour. Good collection of games to play. Some area outside is heated so nice and warm if you get those tables. Unfortunately one of the heat lamps was broken when I went. They let dogs in and got free dog treats on the bar. Staff all really friendly and a good laugh
Great dog-friendly boozer. Well kept cask ale and good hearty pub food with a good selection of meals and light bites to choose from. The chicken skewers were delicious. 'Lazy' fish and chips was good. Nice piece of pan fried cod (a bit small) and massive hand cut chips (close to roast potato size!) with tartare and mushy peas! Great stuff. The buttermilk chicken burger was awesome. Lovely big pub garden and neat little cosy booths inside. Good service. Will definitely visit again.
