About This Pub
Ah, The Anchor – what a gem of a pub in Bristol! I've got to say, it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a laid-back afternoon or evening out. From the reviews I've seen, the staff are top-notch, always going the extra mile to make sure you're looked after, like holding off on that bottomless brunch until everyone's there. The food and drinks are spot on too; think generous portions of wings or nachos paired with endless cocktails, and it's no wonder it's a repeat choice for many. They're brilliant at hosting live sports and events, so if you're into rugby or football, it's the perfect spot to cheer on the team. Plus, that beer garden is a real treat when the sun's out. On the flip side, it does get packed, especially on busy days, so booking's a must to snag a table. And while the prices are fair for what you get, they might add up if you're not careful. All in all, it's a solid choice for a fun night – I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're in the area, but keep an eye on those opening times to avoid any mix-ups.

Excellent bottomless brunch! The staff member serving us was Kotryna, she was, amazing. The drinks were flowing, the food was prompt and hot. No complaints whatsoever. You may think this is just a pub but it’s a firm repeat choice for bottomless brunch for us. I had a giant bucket of wings, for the less gluttonous there were lighter options that were well reviewed. Something for everyone at this place. Will come again!
An Absolute Gem of a Pub – A True Hidden Treasure!
I don’t usually write reviews, but this place deserves a shoutout. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like old friends. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and full of character – the kind of place where time slows down and laughter fills the air.
The staff? Absolutely top-tier. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about creating a great experience. They even offered us free pool – which turned our casual night into one of the most memorable evenings we’ve had in ages.
The drinks were spot on, the crowd was buzzing with good vibes, and the whole place had that rare magic that makes you want to stay just a little longer… and then another round later, you're still smiling.
If you're looking for somewhere with heart, charm, and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like you belong – this is the pub. We’ll definitely be back (and bringing friends)!
This pub has something rare — a perfect mix of warmth, character, and genuine hospitality. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was welcoming and relaxed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt at home, and the ambiance strikes that perfect balance between lively and cozy. Drinks were spot-on, and every detail felt thoughtfully put together. It’s not just a place to grab a drink — it’s a place you remember. Can’t wait to come back and make it a regular spot!
Came for bottomless brunch on a bank holiday Sunday and could not fault it. One of my party was about half hour late and the waitress very kindly didn’t start the 2hour brunch until everyone had arrived so we didn’t miss out!
I had nachos which was a sizeable portion. Plenty of choice on the menu so something for everyone.
Drinks were not juiced down at all and again lots of choice. For £35 each I really could not find any fault and will be recommending for bottomless brunch!
I love coming to watch rugby tournaments here. People are very friendly.
If you can, book a table... This a popular spot in an active street.
