About This Pub

Ah, The Larkshall – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in London, you know? From what I've gathered from folks who've been there, the food really steals the show; whether it's a perfectly cooked steak or a hearty Sunday roast, everything's made with fresh, quality ingredients that leave you satisfied and smiling. The staff are genuinely lovely, always up for a chat and making sure you're looked after, which adds to that cosy, relaxed atmosphere that's ideal for everything from a quick pint to a full-blown meal with friends. It's got this great outdoor space too, perfect for soaking up the sun with a cold one in hand, especially when they fire up the BBQs in summer. On the flip side, it's worth noting that things aren't always spotless everywhere – a quick tidy-up in some corners could make it even better – and it does get popular, so you might need to plan ahead to snag a spot. Overall, it's a welcoming spot that celebrates all things British, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after good food, decent drinks, and that easy-going pub feel without any fuss.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on – think delicious Sunday roasts, juicy steaks, and classic British dishes that hit the spot every time.
  • Staff are super friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cosy vibe that's perfect for a relaxed evening or a lively catch-up with mates.
  • They've got a fantastic beer garden, especially in the summer months when the BBQs come out – it's a real treat.
  • Prices are moderate, so you get great value without breaking the bank, and they've got a good selection of beers and wines to boot.
Cons
  • There might be a few spots that could do with a bit more cleaning, like some areas feeling a tad overlooked now and then.
  • It can get busy, so booking ahead is a must if you don't want to miss out on a table.

We stopped by here on a Monday night because it was my birthday and I really fancied steak. We'd heard good things but have never been. I was anxious that it might be a bit risky because it was a Monday. But I shouldn't have worried. We shared a 660g cote de boeuf from the dry ager which was cooked to perfection. It came with an abundance of fries and a selection of sauces. I also had a nice glass of malbec to go with it. Only slight criticism was my wine glass had lipstick on it, but that was quickly resolved when we pointed it out and I quickly got a new one. We will definitely return and bring some friends!

Excellent beef quality and cooking! Staff is very nice too and prices are average. Could do some better cleaning here and there, but no biggie.

Fantastic Pub with Delicious Food and Great Atmosphere I recently visited this pub, and I have to say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a perfect mix of cozy charm and lively energy. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed evening or a fun night out, this place has it all. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was well-prepared, fresh, and full of flavor. The menu had a great variety, catering to all tastes, from classic pub favorites to more refined options. The portions were generous, and the presentation was spot on. The service was equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and efficient. The staff made sure we had everything we needed and added to the overall positive experience. If you’re looking for a great pub with fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended!

Best Sunday roast I’ve ever had! The pork was incredibly tender, and the vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The festive Christmas atmosphere added a special touch, and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend The Larkshall for a great dining experience!
