About This Pub

Ah, The Lamb – it's one of those pubs in Chiswick that just feels like a proper local gem, you know? From what I've gathered from folks who've been, the food really steals the show; think juicy lamb roasts with crispy Yorkshire puds and fresh sides that pair brilliantly with a nice Merlot or a pint. The vibe is spot on for a casual catch-up or family dinner, with that homely charm and even live jazz to liven things up on a Sunday. Prices are moderate, so it's accessible without feeling cheap, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. On the flip side, it does have its moments when the bar service drags a bit on busier days, which might put a small dampener on things if you're in a rush. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone wanting a memorable pint and meal in London – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, but maybe plan for a quieter time to fully enjoy it.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on, with standout Sunday roasts like succulent lamb and perfectly cooked sides – some of the best I've heard of in London.
  • The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home, with prompt service that adds to the relaxed vibe.
  • It has a lovely, cozy atmosphere that's perfect for a laid-back meal or drinks, complete with live jazz on Sundays for that extra charm.
  • A great selection of drinks on tap, all at average prices, making it easy to enjoy a pint or a glass of wine without breaking the bank.
Cons
  • Service at the bar can be a bit slow during busy times, like on a Saturday afternoon, which might leave you waiting a tad longer than you'd like.

Succulent Sunday roast. My lamb was pink and soft, whilst the cod was perfectly cooked. But it was the Yorkshire pudding and cabbage sides which were pleasant suprise, some of the best I've had in London. The live vocal jazz and prompt service make The Lamb a delightful lazy Sunday hangout.

Lamb rump is pink, juicy and delicious. Fish and chips is fried fresh and hot. Portions are generous. Staff is amazing. Great ambience. Nothing I can complain about.

Lovely lamb rump roast with wine gravy, great selection of vegetable and the Yorkshire pudding was super light and crispy! The whole meal complemented really well with a glass of Merlot!

Lovely pub with comfortable seating inside and out! Nice cozy atmosphere. Good selection of drinks on tap which are averagely priced. We didn't eat here but food looked very good when leaving the kitchen. So service was very slow at the bar. Only 2 staff on for a busy Saturday afternoon taking drinks and food orders. Will definitely return for the food as menu was very appealing.

Really lovely elegant pub! First visit as my daughter just moved to the area. We had the roast sharing plate which was amazing along with some amazing desserts. The service was relaxed and super friendly, Munica did a great job of looking after us :) can’t wait to come back for Jazz next time!
