About This Pub
Ah, The Duke of Sussex – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its warm, historic charm and that hint of Spanish flair in the menu. From what I've gathered from folks' experiences, the staff are absolute stars, always greeting you with a smile and making sure everything runs smoothly, which really sets the tone for a great night out. The food's a highlight too; think fresh, seasonal dishes like delicious tapas or a cracking Sunday roast that leaves you satisfied but maybe a tad overwhelmed by the portions – I've heard a few mates say they'd love smaller plates to avoid any waste. The beer selection is spot on, with real ales and wines that pair perfectly, and don't forget the lovely beer garden for when the weather's on your side. It's family and dog-friendly, so it's versatile for all sorts of occasions, whether it's a quick pint after a walk or a proper meal with friends. On the downside, it can get pretty lively and packed, which is brilliant for the buzz but not so much if you're hoping for a peaceful spot. Overall, it's a solid choice in Chiswick – worth a visit for the good vibes and tasty bites, just keep an eye on those portion sizes if you're not up for a challenge!

Nice place, busy and buzzing. Helpful staff. The Sundays roasts were nice, but none of us could finish. I would rather pay a bit less for a portion I could eat, as I hate food waste. Would you consider doing a smaller plate?
A wonderful place! This is a historic pub with a fantastic vintage interior. As soon as you step in, you’re greeted by a very friendly and smiling team (so much for the “cold Brits”), making you feel like you’ve known them for years. What mattered to me was that I found real ale here. I only had some appetizers, and they were fantastic, so I have no doubt that the main menu is just as great. I’m 100% sure I’ll be coming back!
Had been looking forward to a Sunday Roast and wasn't disappointed with meal at the Duke of Sussex between Chiswick and Acton. The confit pork was delicious, as were the vegetables. Would have like some greens, but I didn't have any room for dessert as it was!
Restaurant: The Duke of Sussex
Rating : ★★★★★. 🤩🤩
It was a wonderful dining experience with a warm welcome and a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant offers a creative menu with fresh ingredients. I had the beef filet with truffle mashed potatoes, which was delicious, along with the grilled fish dish that was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The meal ended with a divine molten chocolate cake. There was also a wide selection of beverages, including beer, fresh fruit juices, alcoholic drinks, and coffee. The service was quick and efficient, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for a relaxed evening!
The Duke of Sussex opposite Acton Green serves a fine pint of beer. Plenty of room, high ceilings and a pleasant environment. Good service from the staff. A fair selection of beers to choose from, both keg and cask. There is an expansive patio garden to the rear with plenty of seating for all. Good place for a beer, also solids (not tried), including Sunday Lunches.
