About This Pub

Ah, The Connolly’s Bar & Diner – it's one of those places in Chiswick that really captures that warm Irish pub feel, you know? I've been looking over the reviews, and it sounds like a gem for anyone keen on sinking a good Guinness or catching the latest match with mates. They've got loads of screens dotted around, a pool table to keep things lively, and even a spacious garden with a massive TV for those sunny afternoons watching footy or rugby. The staff often get a thumbs-up for being friendly and efficient, and it's nice to hear the toilets are kept spotless, which makes a big difference after a few drinks. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses – some folks mention it feeling a tad intimidating when you walk in, like everyone's eyes are on you, and there are stories of a few staff members being outright rude, which can sour the experience. Oh, and if you're a coffee fiend, you might want to skip it since they've only got filter coffee, no fancy machine in sight. All in all, it's a solid choice for a casual night out if you're up for the vibe, just go in with your eyes open and you'll likely have a great time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • It's got that authentic Irish charm with a top-notch pint of Guinness that really hits the spot.
  • The staff are generally friendly and quick with service, making you feel right at home.
  • Fantastic for sports lovers, with plenty of screens to catch the footy or rugby, plus a pool table for some fun.
  • There's a big garden area with a giant TV, which is brilliant for outdoor chilling on a nice day.
  • The place keeps things clean, from the bar to the toilets, which is always a relief in a busy pub.
Cons
  • It can feel a bit rough when you first step in, with folks giving you the once-over, which might put some off.
  • Staff can be hit or miss – some are lovely, but others come across as quite rude, which dampens the vibe.
  • Coffee options are pretty basic, just filter coffee on offer, so it's not the best if you're after a proper brew.

Local pub that still retains its Irish heritage...try the Guinness...l didn't sample the food so no comment on that...barstaff were friendly and toilets were also clean...

Feels a little rough... As in... You enter and everyone has eyes on you. But it's not that bad. One of those bars where some staff is extremely rude but others are extremely friendly.

Really good place to watch the football. When I was there they had two different games on at the same time, nice pint of Guinness and a pool table.

Great for watching sports, they have many screens and a pool table. The service is very friendly and fast. They don’t have a coffee machine, just filter coffee, so, coffee lovers, be aware!
