About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The King's Head – it's one of those places that just warms your cockles the moment you walk in. This old gem, dating back to 1455, has that authentic English pub feel with its ancient beams and cosy nooks, making it a proper treat for anyone wanting a break from the hustle. I love how they've nailed the drinks side of things, with a fantastic array of local Chiltern brews that you can sample in all sorts of sizes, and the food really hits the mark too – think top-quality burgers and fresh sandwiches that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank. The staff are an absolute delight, always chatting away and making sure you're looked after, which adds to the homely vibe, especially in the courtyard or during one of their events. On the downside, it's a bit hidden away, so you might end up wandering the streets a tad before you find it, and with it only open certain days, it's worth checking ahead to avoid disappointment. All in all, it's a smashing spot for a relaxed catch-up or a special occasion, and I'd say it's well worth seeking out if you're in the area – just go with an open mind and a thirst for good times!

Beautiful old pub owned by the National Trust. A treat in the heart of Aylesbury with local Chiltern Beers
A cracking pub that serves locally produced beverages. Very reasonably priced drinks. Food is next level. Went for the burger, which was up there with one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Highly recommended.
Nice old pub hidden down an alley way. Great outdoor seating area. We stopped for lunch the barman explained all his craft beers he had on tap, we went for the chiltern lager which was lovely fresh and cold. We ate steak club sandwiches which came full of beef, bacon lettuce and tomato on toasted fresh thick white bread which were ok. Nice vibe and the price was reasonable.
Beautiful. Everything you want from a truly classic English pub. The food is excellent, the atmosphere and aesthetic of the pub is charming and soothing. There is a wall showcasing the selection of ales. The staff are polite, friendly and proactive. If you're visiting Aylesbury, this is you top choice for lunch.
The quintessential English small town pub. Great pub food with real attention to detail excellent drinks, including a fantastic selection of local beers and ales, and great cocktails too.
They have just opened a totally new section which is like a medieval banquet hall. Definitely one of the best pubs around for miles.
