About This Pub

Ah, The Cossham Inn, what a gem of a spot in Kingswood! I've got to say, it's one of those places that just hits the mark for a laid-back evening out. The prices are an absolute steal – you can grab a pint of something tasty like Fosters or a local brew for next to nothing, which makes it feel like the good old days when a night out didn't cost the earth. The staff are proper lovely, always up for a chat and making sure you're looked after, and the whole place has this warm, welcoming feel with fairy lights twinkling outside and neat beer gardens to enjoy when the weather's on your side. They've got heaps of entertainment too, like a brilliant pool table and darts, and it's great for families or even bringing the dog along, as long as it's before 8 pm. On the flip side, it can get a bit crowded at times, which might make it feel less inviting if you're after a quiet corner, and the decor is a smidge ordinary in places, but honestly, that doesn't take away from the charm. All in all, if you're after a no-fuss pub with top-notch value and a friendly buzz, this one's worth checking out – I'd pop in for a round without a second thought!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The prices are absolutely brilliant – it's like stepping back to the good old days where you can enjoy a few drinks without breaking the bank.
  • The atmosphere is spot on, with a nicely decorated space inside and out, complete with pretty fairy lights and lovely beer gardens at the front and back.
  • Staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • Everything's kept spotlessly clean, from the beer lines to the toilets and the outdoor areas, which really adds to the overall experience.
  • There's a great selection of drinks with some cracking deals, plus fun extras like a pool table, darts, and even games for the kids, making it a family-friendly spot until 8 pm.
  • It's dog-friendly too, so you can pop in with your furry mate for a pint.
Cons
  • Sometimes the crowds can make things feel a bit unwelcoming, though that's more down to the punters than the pub itself.
  • The decor and atmosphere might not wow everyone, as it's a tad average in spots, but it's still cosy enough for a relaxed visit.

Didn't have food so can't comment, I'm blown away at how cheap the prices are, it's like the old days when u could take £50 out with u and u could buy drinks, grab a kebab and a taxis home. Outstanding atmosphere, lovely clean line of beer, clean toilets and tidy outdoor space, friendly staff and brilliant service...will definitely come again!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and owner, nicely decorated inside and out (pretty fairy lights outside when the sun goes down). Lovely front and rear beer garden. Good selection of drinks and crisps. Great deals on drinks and very reasonable prices in general. A great place to drink!

Food and drink 8/10 Service 8/10 Decor and atmosphere: 6/10 Service speed 10/10 Cost 7/10 The best: Great fast service with a family atmosphere. The worst: The only draw back is some crowds, whom to no fault of the pub, can make the pub feel unwelcoming. The lowdown: Nothing more to add.

Popped in whilst waiting for the Christmas float. Th new owners. (been there for 5 weeks) were lovely. Very friendly and attentive. In the hour we were there, there was a raffle, and DJ was setting up. Dog friendly and welcoming of children (until 8 pm). They have a selection to entertain the kids (colouring and games) and offered us plug sockets for children to power their tablets. Lovely atmosphere. Wish them all the best.
