About This Pub

Ah, The Jack Horner – it's one of those pubs that just makes you smile from the moment you walk in. Tucked away on Tottenham Court Road, it's got that perfect blend of sophistication and down-to-earth charm, with a menu full of tempting options like their signature pies and fresh chips that folks rave about. The staff are absolute stars; think Sveta or Kailu, who go the extra mile with attentive service and even share a few tips on London sights or stories behind the dishes. It's brilliant for a casual catch-up over a pint of real ale or a glass of wine, and the family-friendly setup means it's welcoming for all ages. On the flip side, though, it can get a bit hectic during peak times, leading to slower service or a wait for your table, so I'd suggest booking in advance if you're popping by on a busy evening. Overall, it's a solid choice for us pub lovers – the high ratings speak for themselves, with most people loving the food and atmosphere, but just keep in mind it might not be the quickest spot if you're in a rush. If you're after an authentic British experience in the heart of London, give it a go; you'll likely leave with a full belly and a happy heart.

Food was excellent. Even a simple salad had a delicious dressing. We shared a pie, which was plenty. Sveta was delightful and gave us tips on what to see in London.

On my way to heathrow airport i decided to have a last stab at london cousine before leaving town. It was pretty great! The Server Kailu recommended the signature classics (fish&chips, pie, toffee pudding - didn't disappoint!), had a story to tell for everything and was welcoming, friendly and attentive! One thing to point out: You will be full after the meal. In a good way, but prepare for not wanting to go sightseeing for the next hour ;) This isn't a tourist trap in any way, but a very good opportunity to eat high quality, authentic british food. The atmosphere and interior is as you would hope: mintgreen lacquer, old smooth wood, nice sunlight, not dirty or greasy. Will visit again some day!

The staff was very accommodating. Went on a Sunday without a reservation, and they were able to seat and serve my party of 3 very quickly. The food was hot, delicious and came out quickly. Family-friendly atmosphere and very clean. Will be back!

I was looking for an authentic British pub and this place felt just right. It was packed early in the evening itself. I was there for a refreshing cider and wasn't really hungry but the rest of the guys who ordered food gave it a thumbs up. Service was a little slow so there was a bit of a wait for the food but drinks came out relatively quickly, plus the waitress was really courteous so it wasn't a problem at all. It has a pub atmosphere and it definitely was cosy inside since it was pretty much freezing out there so we enjoyed our time there immensely. Would highly recommend.
