About This Pub
You know, when I think about the Rising Sun, it's one of those places that just feels like a proper London gem – all that charming 19th-century decor makes it a lovely spot to pop in for a pint after a wander around the area. The staff really stand out; they're so approachable and eager to help, whether it's guiding you through the beer options or checking in to make sure you're enjoying your meal. The food doesn't disappoint either – I had the fish and chips, and it was spot on, with generous portions that leave you feeling chuffed. It's especially brilliant if you're into watching the footie or rugby, as they've got the screens sorted and a real community vibe. On the flip side, it does tend to fill up quickly on match days, so you might end up elbow-to-elbow if you don't plan ahead, and the menu's pretty straightforward pub fare, which won't wow you if you're in the mood for something a bit more exotic. All in all, it's a solid choice for a casual get-together, and I'd say it's well worth seeking out for a relaxed evening out.

I like this place for a nice, reasonably quiet afternoon drink. Good lunch offers and friendly staff.
This is my first time here. The food was great! I had the classic fish and chips, and they were cooked to perfection. Ana was friendly and very helpful while I was here. Sam was very helpful guiding me through the menu and with my drinks. Both of them followed up at my table to make sure I did not need anything.
Had a drink and some food to watch the football and the staff were friendly, the food was quick and tasted good.
No complaints at all
Great English pub with plenty beers on tap. Very friendly personnel!! We were helped by Zoe. I (tourist) asked for advice on the beers, and she asked about my taste and recommended me the best ones, offering a taste on a couple. I was with my son, who speaks no English, but Zoe still made fun contact with him. As we were having such a good time, we ended up staying longer and having (very tasty!) dessert as well. Thank you Zoe, you added to the experience and gave us a brilliant service! The pub itself is nice too. Great for beers and/or the typical UK pub-style menu.
The best steak pie we’ve ever had! The service is so nice and the food is delicious. We’ll be back from Italy!!
