About This Pub
Ah, The Horse & Jockey – what a lovely little spot it is in Wrexham. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this fantastic old-world atmosphere that really draws you in, with that thatched roof and historic feel making it feel like a proper step back in time. The staff are an absolute delight, always friendly and ready for a bit of banter, which makes popping in for a pint feel like catching up with mates. And speaking of pints, the Guinness there is spot on – perfectly poured and in great nick every time. It's inexpensive too, so you won't break the bank for a good night out. On the downside, the hours can be a tad restrictive; it typically shuts around 8 PM, which means if you're out late, you might miss the boat. Plus, it can be pretty quiet during off-peak times, like a Monday afternoon, so if you're after a bit more energy, you might find it a bit subdued. All things considered, it's a solid choice for anyone in Wrexham looking for an authentic pub experience – just plan your visit around those opening times, and you'll have a cracking time.

Historic pub on the high street in Wrexham. Was dead early on a Monday afternoon and limited opening hours. Friendly behind the bar and a decent pint of Guinness.
Great traditional pub. Good selection of drinks, friendly staff, enjoyed a few hours whilst watching the football.
Popped in for pint of Guinness while the wife was shopping. This is a lovely traditional pup, it was spotless and the Guinness was in great condition. Definitely recommend calling in while your in Wrexham.
Came here to experience the oldest pub in Wrexham and was not disappointed. I came for the afternoon so it was quite empty. I had some chips and the staff were all super kind and funny.
Loved visiting this beautiful-looking pub with the thatched roof. Once you are in this oldie-world pub, you have the feeling that you could be anywhere in the world and the outside doesn't exist. A place of great atmosphere that you should visit when visiting Wrexham.
