About This Pub

Ah, let me tell you about the Cross Foxes – it's one of those pubs that really warms the cockles of your heart, tucked away in Wrexham with a genuine community feel where the staff know your name and pour a cracking pint at prices that won't sting your wallet. From what I've gathered from the buzz around, folks rave about the friendly atmosphere, the great beer selection, and all the little touches like watching the footie on Sky Sports or having a go at darts or pool with mates. It's clear they're passionate about being part of the local scene, supporting charities and offering perks like a beer garden for those sunny days. On the flip side, it's a shame they don't do food, so you might find yourself nipping out for a bite, and the upstairs toilets could be a hassle if you're not up for the stairs. Plus, entertainment isn't always spot on – one chap mentioned the DJ ignoring requests, which put a dampener on things. All in all, if you're after a relaxed spot for a drink and a chat, it's a winner, but keep those points in mind for a balanced night out.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff at Cross Foxes are absolutely welcoming and make you feel right at home, just like chatting with old mates.
  • They serve up a proper pint with great value prices, so you can enjoy quality beer without breaking the bank.
  • It's got that real community spirit, knowing your name and your usual drink, plus fun extras like a beer garden, darts, pool, and sports on the screens.
  • They're all about supporting local causes and keeping things lively with a car park for easy access.
Cons
  • They don't serve food, so if you're after a meal with your pint, you'll have to head elsewhere.
  • The toilets are upstairs, which can be a bit of a trek and not ideal for everyone.
  • Entertainment can sometimes fall short, like when the DJ sticks to their own tunes instead of playing requests, leaving a few folks disappointed.

Awesome and friendly pub in the town centre with local vibes. Quality beer at a great price. Not a local lad, but I would definitely recommend and return when passing through Wrexham again. This is what pubs are meant to be like!
