The perfect local pub for families.
Lots of free parking, lovely beer garden and a great menu of pub classics at reasonable prices.
We bring the kids here on a regular basis because the food is always delicious at the right price. Our family of 5 eat here with a couple of beers for the adults for around £70-£80.
The landlord and staff (particularly Bernice) are really helpful, they really do make this place stand out as a family friendly local.
Beats the Brentwood hands down :-)

Food was decent as was the staff. Very friendly and welcoming, nice beer garden outside. Would visit again, parking is only small but I'm sure you could park on street if needed.
The Barbacoa Beef Steak was not delicious. The medium rare was cooked well done when I cut it for the first time. The same was true for my friend's sirloin.
We really enjoy our visits to The Homestead. Staff are friendly and welcoming, food is good quality and reasonably priced. Beer garden is ideal in the summer. Current management clearly working hard to make this a great local pub.
