About This Pub
Ah, The Hillbilly Social – what a gem tucked away on Myddleton Road. From chatting with mates who've been, it's clear this place nails the basics and then some. The food is spot on; imagine tucking into a stellar Sri Lankan coconut chicken curry or some perfectly cooked calamari that has folks raving. The beers they brew themselves are superb, and it's all about celebrating that independent spirit while supporting the local area, which is just lovely. The atmosphere is so relaxed and convivial, like popping round to a friend's for a catch-up, and the staff really go the extra mile to make it special. On the flip side, it's not open every day of the week, so you might have to plan around that, and with it being a smaller spot, it could be quieter than some of the bigger pubs if you're in the mood for a lively crowd. All in all, it's a brilliant choice for a laid-back evening – I'd say give it a go if you're in North London; you won't be disappointed, but do keep an eye on the times to make the most of it.

An absolute gem of a place…and the roti bread the jewel in the crown. Warm, welcoming, convivial with a genuine community vibe.
Such a cosy and lovely atmosphere in here! The food is brilliant, I had the calamari which was cooked perfectly and the beers they brew are also superb. Big thanks to the staff who really add to the charm of this place. I’m already thinking about what I wanna try next off their menu!!
We ordered the Sri lankan coconut chicken curry and Caribbean goat roti.
Chicken curry was the best thing I have eaten in a long time. Very chill atmosphere, so I can see why they have such high rating
We’ve just bought a property in Wood Green, with a little daunting thoughts on the area, this place stands out as true movement towards excellent things happening in the area. Bangin beer, prawns are top tier & the belly pork could convert a vegan.
It’s Baltic outside but the garden looks amazing, bring on the summer
This is my next new place for beers and food.
It’s so great to have such a lovely addition to Myddleton Road. We came for dinner on a Friday night and loved all the food. I had the Jerk chicken and it was absolutely delicious- great portion too. The peanut sauce was a nice additional flavor to the jerk chicken. I was full but couldn’t resist the sticky toffee cake for dessert.
