About This Pub

You know, when I think about The Highfield, it just brings a smile to my face – it's one of those pubs that really gets what makes a local spot special. The staff go above and beyond; they're polite, helpful, and make you feel like you're chatting with old friends, whether it's serving up perfectly poured drinks or checking in on your meal. The food's a highlight too – we've got rave reviews about the amazing quality, like steaks cooked just right and fresh ingredients that don't skimp on taste, all at prices that feel honest and fair. It's got that family-friendly charm, with a great atmosphere for watching the game or just unwinding, and they're proper community players, pitching in for local causes. On the flip side, though, the hours can be a tad confusing with those varying Sunday slots, and if you're after something a bit more upscale or off the beaten path, it might not quite hit the mark. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone in Blackpool looking for a reliable, enjoyable night out without any fuss – I'd say give it a go and see why it's buzzing with happy visitors.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely brilliant – they're so friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • The food is spot on; think tasty sizzling skillets, flame-grilled burgers, and great value daily offers that won't break the bank.
  • It's a proper family-friendly spot with a warm, homely atmosphere, perfect for catching up with mates or enjoying a relaxed meal.
  • They're really involved in the local community, supporting charities and even offering their function area for free – that shows they care about more than just pints.
  • With a solid 4.3 rating, it's clear folks keep coming back for the reliable service and affordable prices.
Cons
  • The opening hours can seem a bit muddled, with varying times listed for Sundays, which might catch you out if you're planning a visit.
  • As it's a traditional pub with standard fare, it might not feel all that unique if you're after something more fancy or innovative.
  • It could get quite busy during peak times, especially in a lively spot like Blackpool, so you might have to wait for a table.

We haven't been to Blackpool and the Highfueld for a few years, and we were not dissapointed. Great food and such lovely service from Michelle and Kim, so refreshing in this day and age to great a real homely atmosphere with such nice staff who genuinely cared about us, nothing was a bother! They are a credit to The Highfield. My allergies were checked and the kitchen staff alerted. My fish and chips were lovely, my wife's Mac and cheese was very tasty and my brother in law had the mixed grill, and small the trimmings were included. Great value for money, and so pleased we decided to visit again. We would highly recommend The Highfield.
