About This Pub
Ah, The Cherry Tree in Blackpool – it's one of those pubs that really pulls you in with its cosy, family-oriented charm, especially if you're popping over from the Pleasure Beach or a day at the seaside. I have to say, the staff stand out as the real stars; they're so helpful and make you feel like you're catching up with old mates, which is just what you want after a long day. The food's generally a winner too – think mouth-watering dishes at brilliant prices, like those £10 specials that let you tuck in without breaking the bank. Plus, with things like Sky Sports and outdoor play areas, it's spot on for families or anyone wanting to catch the big games. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect; I've heard a few tales of cold meals or tables that haven't been cleared properly, which can leave you a bit disappointed. And occasionally, there are mix-ups with the deals, like getting charged extra when you shouldn't, or the odd rowdy group making things less relaxing. Overall, though, it's a solid choice for a casual get-together – just go in with realistic expectations, and you're in for a good time that might even become a regular haunt.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely lovely and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
The food is generally delicious and offers great value, especially with those weekday deals that keep things affordable.
-
It's a family-friendly spot with plenty of amenities like outdoor play areas and sports screenings, perfect for a relaxed day out near Blackpool's attractions.
-
The atmosphere has a cosy vibe, and it's conveniently located with easy parking, which is a real bonus after a day at the seaside.
Cons
-
Sometimes the food quality slips, like chips arriving cold, which can put a dampener on the meal.
-
The place can get a bit messy, with dirty tables and floors reported, so it might not always feel as fresh as you'd hope.
-
There have been issues with pricing, such as being charged full price for deals, which feels a tad unfair.
-
Noise from other groups can be a problem, especially if it's disrupting a family outing.

Not been in about a year so thought we would give it a go.
Served by Lee who was lovely although was charged full price for the Monday deals. (£10 across 4 meals)
Food served ordered cheeses chips the chips were cold so didn’t melt at all
Asked for chips to be replaced was given one bowl about 10-15 mins later for others to be given a bowl off chunky chips not fries with cheese
No customer service at table either
Overall very disappointed 😞
Incredibly and pleasantly surprised at what a great venue this was. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, impressed with the staff catering to our needs. The manager was very welcoming. We came here last year and it was average, now the place has a new lease of life and we will certainly be coming back and recommend to our friends! Well done team cherry tree !!
Food is delicious and mouth watering.
The pub staff is cooperative specifically manager Nicky and her daughter jodana.
We booked a table for 7.30pm Easter Sunday, we arrived and the pub it was quiet so just sat ourselves down. The pub was absolutely filthy, dirty tables, floor was horrendous, empty glasses just filled the bar. The language coming from the table beside us was disgusting they had children with them too (as did we). The toilets were awful with no toilet roll. If we weren't starving we would have just left. The food came out really quickly. Husband's mixed grill was mediocre the medium rare steak was well done, the chicken must be boiled it just a weird texture but he ate it all and it filled a hole. My son's kids meal was nice, you can't go wrong with nuggets and chips, my daughter's salt and pepper chicken tenders were fine and my BBQ chicken new Yorker was tasty but also the chicken was a strange texture. We were convinced we might have food poisoning but pleasantly surprised we're all ok today. The kids had dessert which was nice.
Overall not amazing, not the worst but if they just cleaned the tables it would be a much more appealing place to eat.
Really enjoyed our visit today. The food was delicious, the kids weren't happy with the little amount of bacon in their bacon burgers but it didn't stop them scoffing them down. The price was great as well, less than £10 each for food and drinks. Staff were lovely and very helpful. There is a little soft play area for the kids to play, ours wanted to build a fort. We will definitely be returning when we next come up to blackpool.
