About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Hideout – it's this lovely little spot tucked away in the historic lanes of Bath, where you can really soak up the atmosphere with its stone walls and cosy wood fittings. It's got a bit of a rebellious past, they say, but now it's all about enjoying award-winning cocktails and whiskies with a modern hip-hop flair that keeps things fresh and fun. From what I've gathered from folks who've been, the drinks are spot on – strong, tasty, and perfectly crafted – and the team behind the bar are absolute stars, always ready with a smile and great recommendations, whether you're a seasoned whisky fan or just popping in for a casual tipple. It's brilliant for a special night out, like a date or catching up with friends, but do keep in mind it can get a tad expensive, and you'll need to rock up early since they don't take reservations. All in all, it's a gem of a place that does wonders for a relaxing evening, though it might not be the spot if you're after something more budget-friendly or spontaneous during the day.

I booked a whisky tasting for my husband and I and we had a really great time. The staff were very accommodating of our situation as we have a young baby so brought him with us for an early slot in their private tasting room. We had cocktails (/mocktail) on arrival which were delicious. Adam had prepared a great selection of whisky, based on what I had said my husband liked, and was clearly very knowledgeable. There's a huge range of drinks available and we even had an extra one after. Would absolutely recommend a visit!
These guys live and breath Whisky, great bar with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Perfect for finding that new whisky 🥃 and a strong selection of cocktails. A must try is the Lochlea 60% sherry cask single malt.
Really glad we did a bit of googling to see the good spots to visit. This did not disappoint. The set up is relaxed with a fun twist, an excellent spot for couples, first dates or with one of the lads. Cocktails cost a lot, but they’re strong, really tasty and it’s right in the heart of town in a great setting. Id give the old fashioned a go, even if you’re not a whiskey drinker. Would definitely visit here again.
Never one to leave reviews, I absolutely have to in this case. Came in with my dad on a Thursday night for his birthday and we LOVED it. Amazing atmosphere, loved the themed menus and cocktails but the staff made it. Really welcoming and clearly passionate about what they do. Considering everything is designed and made in house I thought the price was outstanding value. Will be going back to Bath just to visit this bar again - thank you 😊

We managed to get the last table on a busy Saturday. One is unable to book here, so we just chanced it.
We were sat in the lovely courtyard. Are waiter was very good at explaining the drinks selection.
I had the Cisco Kid cocktail. A strong whisky flavour competitive with the tartness of the grapefruit. Didn’t quite taste the cucumber soda or the marmalade.
Overall very good though. I will be back.
Half a mark off for the table being wobbly. I understand your on a cobbled courtyard, but a coaster or something under it would have been good.
