Ah, Sleight Magic Bar – what a spot it is in the heart of Bath! I've got to say, it's one of those places that really sticks with you after a visit. The magic performances are top-notch; they're clever, engaging, and full of surprises that keep you on the edge of your seat. Pair that with some seriously good cocktails, and you've got a recipe for a fantastic evening. The team there are absolute stars too, always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels included. But, let's be straight about it, there have been a couple of instances where things turned a bit uncomfortable with one of the magicians – like overstepping boundaries or getting a tad aggressive, which is a real pity and could put a damper on the night for some. Still, with such high ratings overall, it's clear most folks have a whale of a time, so if you're up for some magic and mischief, I'd say give it a go, just keep an eye on the vibe and choose your timing wisely.

Been here many times as the magic is often impressive and a good time however almost every single time that we have been there I have seen a girl turn uncomfortable with how she was spoken to by the older bald magician.
Last night this same man angrily shouted at a drunk girl who had come on her own and been fairly quiet throughout the night, using the threat of “touching her up” as a ridiculous analogy for her having touched his gear. Whilst she should not have touched the box, this is an absolutely unacceptable way for a girl to be spoken to by a member of staff under any circumstances and everybody in the room immediately left following this awful display of behaviour which left us all very uncomfortable. Disgusting.
Words cannot describe genuinely how amazing this place is. But I guess I'll try.
The drinks are great. Staff are friendly and engaging. Paul, the owner and all-round great person, was honestly welcoming. The magicians were brilliant. Even the many parties of people surrounding us were fun, lively and friendly.
If you're in Bath and want to break the norm, swing by. It's a 'magical' night (see what I did there) and will be remembered for a long time. Unless you get properly bladdered and don't remember leaving. To which point I say, just go back the next night like I did!
Nice cocktails, great to watch the magician. It’s quite an intimate gig and was impressed the magician can remember everyone’s names. Visited in 2019 and 2024, had a great time on both visits. Make sure you tip the magicians if you can.
Amazing magicians performing up close magic. Went on a Thursday, which is quieter than the weekend, so got to sit up close as long as I wanted without blocking others from enjoying the entertainment. Friendly with banter. Thanks Chris and Mark for your amazing performances.
We had the best time here! Lovely and unusual cocktails! The magician was AMAZING!! Involved everyone round the table, was funny and thoroughly enjoyed it. Madness to think that they work based on tips whilst everyone we saw did tip we thought more was definitely deserved! We would have stayed longer if it was busier however after the magician have finished his act we then felt we needed to finish our drinks and go probably down to the bar being quiet that evening. We would 100% recommend and would definitely return when back in Bath.
