About This Pub

Ah, The Crystal Palace in Bath – what a delightful little find it is! Picture this: you're wandering around the stunning Roman Baths and Bath Abbey, and suddenly you fancy a break. This pub is just the ticket, tucked away in a prime spot that's easy to reach but feels like a hidden gem. From what I've gathered from folks' thoughts, the atmosphere is spot on – that Georgian charm gives it a cosy, welcoming feel that's perfect for kicking back with a drink. The staff really shine here; they're chatty and attentive, which adds to the whole experience and makes you feel like you're among friends. On the food front, they've nailed the classics with hearty English dishes and some daily specials that keep things fresh, paired with a cracking range of drinks, especially those Fuller's ales that go down a treat. And don't miss the hidden garden – it's a lovely spot for al fresco sipping when the sun's out. Of course, it's not all perfect; it lacks a proper view, which might be a slight letdown if you're hoping for something more picturesque, and it does get bustling, so you might end up queuing for a seat on busier days. Still, overall, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for a balanced pub experience in Bath – the good bits far outweigh the minor niggles, and I'd say it's well worth a visit for a proper, enjoyable night out.

Cons

Palace, Bath – Where History Meets Hops 👑🍻 #BathBevs #PintWithAView #CrystalCool Tucked away just a pint’s throw from the Abbey, The Crystal Palace is where Georgian grandeur meets laid-back cool — and honestly, it’s a bit of a local gem. Architecturally, it’s everything you’d expect from Bath: historic, honey-stoned and effortlessly elegant. But don’t be fooled — this place is no museum piece. It’s got bags of character, a buzzing atmosphere, and a beer garden that deserves its own round of applause. 🌿🍺 This is the spot for a Bev with a bit of Bath flair. Whether you’re people-watching over a pint or soaking up the sunshine in the courtyard with a cheeky G&T, it’s got that unbeatable mix of style and substance. Think Jane Austen meets Camden Town – with cider on tap and a sausage roll on the side. 🎩✨🎧 The staff? Friendly, switched-on, and clearly love where they work – and you can see why. It’s the kind of place where locals mingle with visitors, and everyone feels like they’ve just found their new favourite haunt. Perfect for a sunny afternoon stop-off or a pre-theatre tipple, The Crystal Palace blends Bath’s rich past with a totally modern vibe. Cool without trying too hard. Historic without being stuffy. Raise a glass to the past – and the next round. 🍻 #HistoricAndHip #BathPubs #BeerGardenGoals #PalaceOfPints #CrystalVibes

Great pub in one of the best locations in Bath—just a short walk from Bath Abbey and right by a lovely square with the famous giant plane tree. It doesn’t have a view, but the location is still ideal. There’s a hidden garden at the back, perfect for enjoying a drink or meal in a peaceful setting. Whether you’re on your own, with friends, or family, it’s a welcoming spot. I didn’t join the pub quiz, but it was fun to hear in the background!

Crystal palace pub is a little gem in the middle of Bath. A great outdoor area tucked away behind the building with great access to the loos and bar area. Servers were super nice and friendly and were happy to chat. Prices were good and atmosphere very jolly indeed. Definitely recommend it as great watering hole in-between fun activities in bath. Great access to the local attractions and walking distance to everything. A very harming and well kept pub.

We had a fantastic time at the Crystal Palace Pub in Bath. The pub has a charming Georgian-style character, giving it a warm and slightly historic feel. Its location is perfect – just a short walk from the Roman Baths and the Abbey, making it a convenient spot to relax after sightseeing. The staff were welcoming and friendly, creating a pleasant atmosphere. We loved that there were plenty of seating options, both indoors and outdoors, including a separate dining area and a smoking section. The outdoor space was particularly nice for a casual drink. The drinks were great, and the overall vibe made it a perfect place to unwind. Whether you’re looking for a drink, a meal, or simply a place to enjoy Bath’s charm, Crystal Palace is well worth a visit. Highly recommend!
