About This Pub
Oh, mate, let me tell you about The Heritage – it's this neat bar tucked away in Gloucester that I've heard some good things about from a few pals. From what I've gathered, it's got this really inviting atmosphere thanks to a recent spruce-up, and the staff are absolute gems, always cheerful and on point with their service. Plus, the drinks won't break the bank, which is spot on for a night out without the worry. It's especially buzzing during rugby season or for private gatherings, where the energy just lifts the place up. But, and I say this with a bit of honesty, it's not all smooth sailing – the music can be cranked up so high that it's hard to hear yourself think, and there've been a few tales of door staff being a tad brusque, which puts a dampener on things. Then there's the music selection, which leans heavily on classics from way back, drawing in more of the older crowd and maybe not quite hitting the mark for those wanting fresher tracks. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're up for a lively spot with mates, but keep an eye out for those niggles to make sure you have a top-notch time.

The music can be blasted way too loud at times, making it tough to have a proper chat and enjoy the company.

Some folks have had run-ins with rude door staff, which can sour the whole experience right from the off.

The playlist tends to stick to older tunes from years back, which might not appeal if you're after something more current.
-
There are moments when the vibe feels a bit unwelcoming, leaving you wishing for a warmer welcome overall.

Disappointing Experience – Rude Door Staff and Unwelcoming Atmosphere.
Recently visited this bar after a game and was really disappointed by the overall experience. The door staff were incredibly rude, treating us with an unfriendly and dismissive attitude right from the start. Inside, the vibe was just as unwelcoming—very cliquey. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a friendly and enjoyable evening. So different from the old days post-Gloucester rugby games 🥲 even as a young local fan I felt strongly enough to write this - shame really. Try the pubs across the road instead. 👍
A nice little venue, good sized bar, served by cheerful attentive staff. Cheaper than average prices. We watched a comedy show here , with after disco. Would be great for a private party or general shindig. 👍👍🍻🍺🥂🍾🍷🥃🍹🍸
Great venue with friendly staff! Lovely refurbishment they've just had, alway an amazing atmosphere during the Rugby!
Some of the best local bands play regularly & it's a ideal place for private functions.
Look forward to my next visit
Good bar, always busy especially when the rugby is on. But please play more modern music. It's always really old music from 20/30 years ago. Think it's why mainly older people go. Play better music and younger people will come!
