About This Pub

You know, I've popped into The Northend Vaults a few times, and it's one of those neighbourhood spots that really grows on you. They've got cracking drink deals that make it brilliant value, whether you're after a cold lager or something a bit special, and it's clear they put effort into creating a welcoming feel with friendly faces behind the bar. It's especially ace for sports lovers, with all the big matches like rugby tours shown live on their screens, which gets everyone chatting and adds to the excitement. Plus, being so close to the station makes it a handy choice for a quick pint after a day out. On the downside, it can be quiet as a mouse sometimes, which isn't ideal if you're in the mood for a proper buzz. And from what I've heard from mates, the service can be a bit inconsistent – not always the chattiest or fastest, and it's frustrating when they run out of real ale. All in all, it's a solid pick for a relaxed catch-up, but maybe not your first choice for a wild night out. Give it a go if you're in Gloucester; it's got that authentic pub charm with room for improvement.

  • Fantastic value for money with unbeatable drink offers that make it easy on the wallet.
  • Friendly staff who create a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a chat and a relaxing evening.
  • Brilliant for watching live sports like rugby and football on big screens, with a buzzing vibe during matches.
  • Handy location just a stone's throw from the train station, ideal for a quick stop after arriving.
  • Lovely outside seating area, great for enjoying a pint on warmer days.
Cons
  • It can be a bit quiet at times, which might not hit the spot if you're after a lively crowd.
  • Service isn't always spot on – sometimes it's not as chatty or prompt as you'd hope.
  • Occasional shortages of real ale, which is a real shame for those who fancy a proper pint.

There may be new owners, but the Wadsworth 6X was exceptional. New real ales are planned, so well worth a visit. Friendly owners have taken over so give it a try 😊

Not Impressed! Went in here for a pint..No Real Ale.. No Service Either... Waited for a reasonble time, but still no one came to serve? Obviously a total waste of time. Went to the Fountain and was welcomed with opened arms and served a lovely pint of real ale.

Quality local boozer. Has been around for a while, drinks are reasonable priced. Has a decent outside seating area. Bar staff are friendly, interior decor is authentic and old pub style. Has an outside tv for the summer and watching the footy. Is just a few minutes away from the train station.
